Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Jul 30 → 0.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
The wilderness is waiting. The map is your only guide.
Infinite Orienteering: The Hiker's Path is a realistic navigation simulator that captures the essence of the sport. Dropped into a procedurally generated forest with nothing but a compass and a topographic map, your goal is simple: find the fastest route between control points.
Every ridge, every marsh, and every thicket is a choice. Do you climb over the hill to save distance, or is it faster to run around it? Do you bushwhack through the dense green forest, or take the longer route through the open pine woods?
Powered by procedural generation, no two races are ever the same. The game creates unique terrain, vegetation, infrastructure, and water features on the fly, ensuring that you can never memorize the map. Every race is a fresh test of your navigation skills.
Realistic Navigation: Use your compass to take bearings and your map-reading skills to interpret the terrain, transferable to the real-life skill of navigating with map and compass only.
2D and 3D Replay: Watch the race Replay. Optionally view the map replay in 3D for better terrain readability.
Compete on Infinite Maps: Generate billions of unique, open-world environments and courses. Share map seeds with the community if you find a map you like. Export and import others' replays as files to compete with friends. (More expansive competitive multiplayer features are planned in the future; in the meanwhile, use our Discord to share your runs and import others' to compete with the community.)
Night Mode: For a challenge, run at night! With only a forehead flashlight to illuminate your way.
Analysis: Watch your route after every race. Identify the splits where you lost time, whether you nailed a shortcut, and how you can improve for the next run.
Standard Mapping: Navigate using authentic topographic maps featuring accurate contours (5m intervals), vegetation density layers, and magnetic north lines, just like a real orienteering event. In the long run we're looking to include most map elements of the International Orienteering Federation's Mapping standard and follow their guidlines closely.
Race Your Way: Choose from Sprint, Middle, or Long distance courses, or customize the difficulty to match your skill level. Beat the clock, or go for a nice stroll, your choice. Choose between game modes Standard or Scramble.
Handbook: Become a master orienteer by studying the handbook to improve your technique.
Whether you are a veteran orienteer looking to train your map memory in the off-season, or a hiker who loves the peace of the virtual outdoors, Infinite Orienteering offers a pure, uncompromised simulation of movement through nature.
Lace up your boots. The clock is ticking.

On first loading up, I immediately encountered an issue. The menu screen was flickering, maps spun round & round - basically the whole thing was unplayable! However, a bit of research indicated that the issue was indicative of a clash of control inputs (something like that anyway). A brief visit to the USB sockets on my PC and hey presto! No more issues! Anyway.... it's quite a while since I last did any real-world orienteering, so it took a bit of effort to get into the digital version. I'm still learning, but I must say I am blown away by the game so far - it is awesome! Some people have complained about the graphics, AI assistance etc.. but personally I have no problem with these matters. Devs, you have done a stellar job of work here, and in my opinion you can be proud of your creation. Could you improve on what you have done so far? Maybe. I have two suggestions. The first concerns the boundaries of the map - as things stand, the edges appear as a blank, impenetrable 'wall'. I have absolutely no idea how to go about this, but would it be possible to 'wrap' the map in some way? I'm thinking of something like an HDRI sphere. My second suggestion is this - arriving at the finish should trigger a real-world delivery of cold beer to my PC desk. C'mon, guys, you can do it. Seriously - congratulations on a great product, and all the best to you in the future!

Movement is far too slow. The compass doesn’t allow you to take a bearing using the compass housing. Not recommended... :(
Pretty cool procedurally generated world to run through, however there is still room for polish, for example the varied movespeeds depending on the surface type have too drastic differences, and the headbobbing is a bit excessive.
Excellent game, the concept is challenging yet does not make your first few runs literal hell, and there is definitely replay value even after playing for a while !
I’ve found it very useful for getting better with navigating by topo maps and general map and compass navigation. I’ve also seen it get better over the last few versions and expect it to continue to improve. Some of the annoyances, like controls deep in thicket, match things I’ve seen on real life orienteering courses so I can’t complain too much. One of the most useful features is watching the replay afterward and I’d highly recommend that if you’re struggling
I am writing this more like a feedback then a negative review, with respect to the game and developers as it is still in early access. But overall I enjoy playing this at its a good practice. General feel is that initial focus is more on graphic aspects of the game that on the game-play and optimization of the game. I would prefer more of a cartoonist graphic if the game would run smoothly than realistic one. Bare in mind that I play this on Steam Deck so it may be still early to conclude anything. With that said, I would split this in two section and will update the review with each new update. Lets start with more noticeable bugs: 1. Playing with keyboard and mouse input, and while running/walking there is some serious right rotation of the camera that need constant correcting. 2. Checkpoints spawns inside of elements. In my case it was inside of big rock. And finish with general suggestions :) 1. Decrease map size generation to course size (plus some outer bounds), this will for sure greatly improve game performance cause currently map is 10 times larger than course size (and course is usually somewhere in the corner of map). 2. Place tools option on main menu to serve as a tutorial course, so we don't need to generate level to open instructions. 3. Leave beautification of game for later stages, nobody (most gamers) would mind if they don't have 20 different bioms realistically rendered if game is performing bad. I am very eager to see this game as finished project, so please keep up the good work!
Horrible terrain generation, terrible physics, awful performance. Not worth in any way.
Great Orienteering game. Can't wait to see the upcoming features that are added in future updates. Some background sound effects and/or music would be nice, (other than just your step falls).
As much as I would like to give a positive review, as it is great to see an orienteeting game, I am afraid the game is not mature enough. The concept of procedural worlds is great, but the terrains and especially the courses are not built with the quality one expects for orienteering. I like the execution, the game controls (mouse and keyboard) are fine, the map behaves well, quite close to the real competition. Some UI polish would be nice, but for a niche product like this I think this is acceptable. In the first course I have tried one control was not present (or was hidden in a stone). It was course with the default seeds {1 and 1], the control should be near a stone, close to a fence, I am sure I was at the correct location, but the control was not there.
A nice representation of orienteering in a video game. It's simple, fun, and captures the feeling of navigating with a map very well! A small wishlist for improvements: - You run faster when holding W + A or D compared to just W. This speed should be the same - There should be a penalty for having the map open. At the very least you shouldn't be able to sprint while looking at it, and maybe even have slightly lower regular running speed - A notification when the sprint meter runs out (for example panting like in many other games) - A leaderboard is always fun. Maybe something like a daily generated map that everyone can play once, with a leaderboard for the best times - A mode where checkpoints don’t have a fixed order. All checkpoints could spawn randomly in an area and the player would have to figure out the best route themselves - Being able to change keybinds would be great - An option to remove the head bobbing would also be appreciated Overall a really fun game with a lot of potential 👍
