Been meaning to play this game for awhile. Seen it now and again mentioned, and I think it deserves the praise.
People mention in the reviews that the characters feel like actual. normal people- and considering this is a time-loop setting I think that's actually pretty well reasonable. Mechanics are critiqued in various ways, and I genuinely had fun. Can be hard to get into at first, but at a certain point it is very hard to put down until the game's truly done. Had some pretty good conclusions/pay-offs story-wise. I'm describing things vaguely because I think this is a game that should be played with minimal information. For some parts, a guide might be needed, but the loops themselves are short enough (1 & 1/2 hours if going really slowly, grinding, etc.) and at a certain point there's a flow-state where you just know how things should react and where things are. Felt like Majora's Mask in that sense but a lot easier to navigate.
I noticed some people in the community section had difficulty knowing how to get to the reset the loop - [spoiler]you gotta die. tears are the fastest way imo[/spoiler] but I think it's best to figure it out naturally.
Optional; Also have to mention that if you don't like Undertale or Deltarune, you will not like this game. For various reasons lgbtq+ representation is a big deal and some people will specifically avoid games with them, which, ok? Not gonna lie, if you have a problem with a game simply because they're gay, or use different pronouns, or whatever, then look at a mirror. The people who have a problem with these sorts of things shouldn't play them in the first place, and furthermore, imo, when people talk about gender ideology, they act as if hetero-sexuality/cis/straight isn't an ideology either. It is. I digress, the people this is aimed at will certainly ignore, though I wanted to say anyways.
All that is to say, this is worth your time. If you're on the fence with it, I think I got it on sale? But otherwise definitely would buy without it. [spoiler]The King's Theme is Peak[/spoiler]
