HTR+ Slot Car Simulation

I have maybe come into this in the wrong order having become a fan of 'Carrera Go' in real life first which is a 1/43 Scale slot car racing system. But I found this very 3D and colourfully interesting and quite challenging to play given the variety of courses this game offers up. Many perceive slot car simulation to be just 'Press the ALT key and DUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUH!' but I feel this offers up more because of it's colourful and inventive representation of this subject. You can set your experience level from easy to expert and the toughness will increase accordingly. Cars can and will 'spin' off the track but replace themselves within seconds at the point of excursion. I have also experienced 'HTR+ Slot Car Racing' and feel that this is more dynamic and colourful: Potentially more interesting but nothing is absolutely like the real thing ['Carrera Go'] when played on PC. A great effort though ... I liked this a lot :o)

[h1]If you go in with low expectations, you'll probably come away satisfied.[/h1] [h1]The PROs:[/h1] [b]+ Good experience[/b]. This is a pretty game and does a really good job with the experience of slot car racing. [b]+ Had fun[/b]. [b]+ Graphics[/b]. Great looking tracks and track environments. [b]+ Can use trigger on Controller[/b]. I still used my mouse to control the throttle, but I could see how this would add to the experience and have been better. [h1]The EH:[/h1] [b]~ Short[/b]. I completed all the provided tracks in [b]1.4 hrs[/b]. There is however a ton of community tracks. [b]~ The User Interface[/b]. It's functional, but barely. [b]~ Not a simulation[/b]. I'm not so sure of loops and jumps being in slot car racing. But it is a fun arcade game. [b]~ Not much to do[/b]. On most tracks, once you [spoiler]upgrade grip a little[/spoiler] you can just hold down the throttle and win. Repeat when you start not-winning (and have more money). [h1]The CONs:[/h1] [b]- Blurry-fast.[/b] When you upgrade the motor, the car zips around so much and the camera trying to stay with it so much it's really hard to see what's going on. [h1]Overall: It's short, but I certainly enjoyed my time. That said, when it was over, I had enough. It's ok. 6 out of 10.[/h1]
