How I learned to Skate

ALT+F4:ing in frustration only to start the game again in three seconds makes me wonder if I have an addiction. Every time I start to feel like I am the best skater in the world, the game slaps my face with a sledgehammer. 5/5 [i]git gud[/i]

Quick Score: 4/5 Notes: Absolutely brutal awkward control sim. The dev is currently working on implementing a practice mode and possibly some other tweaks, and once those are implemented the game will probably be a 5/5 in my book, but until then I will comment on the current state of the game. Game looks great, and overall the concept of the game is great, however difficulty scaling and checkpoint placement can be infuriating for your first playthrough. A couple checkpoints are insane difficulty spikes paired with being incredibly long. My first playthrough of the game took 8 hours and 30 minutes with 1212 falls. Which doesn't sound bad, however this is much better than average. Assuming you are able to stick through the game without ragequitting, the store page is about accurate in estimating 12 hours for a first playthrough. Personally I played through the game with controller and I found it easier. However the dev mainly played with mouse and once you master the mouse it seems to be just as good if not better than controller. Just depends on what you are more comfortable with, they each have their pros and cons. I would only recommend this game if you are prepared for an extreme challenge and don't mind getting stuck at a single checkpoint for several hours. If you do end up getting stuck, I managed to record a pretty good speedrun of the game you can use as reference. Can be found in the guide section in the community hub for this game.

It's a very relaxing and cool game. Play this if you are having a rough day. It will surely make your day much better. Quality relaxing music and chill game play. Would recommend this to anyone anywhere.

ESP: Todavía no lo complete pero me esta gustando un montón, los gráficos son especialmente bonitos y los controles no son tan incomodos en si pero los niveles son angostos y nos van presentando obstáculos y complicaciones, es frustrante pero no tanto como un "getting over it", porque hay checkpoints. Lo recomiendo. ENG: I haven't completed it yet but I'm liking it a lot, the graphics are especially nice. The controls are not that awkward but the levels are narrow and get tricky, frustrating but not as much as a "getting over it" because there are checkpoints. I recommend it.

Well... I came to 1 conclusion. I can not skate in real life and I can't virtually. On the parcours there are checkpoints but it would be better if there were checkpoints every 5 meters.
