Hotshot Racing is a blisteringly fast arcade-style racing game fusing drift handling, razor-sharp retro visuals and an incredible sense of speed to create an exhilarating driving experience.
Developed by racing game veterans SUMO Nottingham and Lucky Mountain Games, Hotshot Racing is an all-new driving experience which revives the classic arcade gameplay of the 90s and thrusts it into the modern era.
16 racing circuits provide the twists, turns and straights conducive to searingly quick racing. Take in coastal, jungle, alpine and Las Vegas desert environments, with each course modelled with the most vivid colours and blue skies for miles.
Time Trial and Grand Prix modes cater to those who like to compete in classic racing formats, while ‘Cops and Robbers’ and ‘Drive or Explode’ modes offer exhilarating new ways to play.
Each mode is available in single-player, four-player split-screen and eight-player online, while Time Trial is single-player only. Single-player modes run at a blistering 60FPS to deliver one of the fastest depictions of racing possible.
Smash lap records to rise-up the global online leaderboards or download ghost laps to match your racing lines against the very best.
Keiko, Xing, Mike, Alexa, Aston, Toshiro, Marcus and Viktor - eight speed addicts that have dedicated their lives to the pursuit of being the greatest racing driver in the world.
Drifting is crucial in Hotshot Racing. Boost charges as the player drifts so maintaining it for as long as possible is vital to preserving maximum speed throughout a race.
In this mode each car has a bomb attached to it. Drop below a certain speed and BOOM! The trigger speed gets faster and faster, forcing players to maintain impossibly high speeds.
Robbers evade the cops. Cops catch the robbers, and in doing so convert them to the police side, leading to an exciting test of skill for the surviving criminals.
Earn boost by drifting and slipstreaming opponents and unleash a one-shot hit of speed to leave them in your rear view mirror.

It's pretty fun once you get used to it. The physics seem a bit weird and thats what takes getting used to. I like the drifting and boosting I just wish I could get it a little faster. One problem I have is the opponents can bump you from behind and that really messes you up.
I like the Jamaican guy...
fun retro inspired racing game with good controls, and different modes to play

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

crap game because the other cars constantly ram you and you always come off second best. It also suffers from that racer classic problem that the CPU racers catch you no matter how well you drive but are quite easy to catch.... until you do. then its back to being rammed
Crazy AI. Even FlatOut and Wreckfest bots are less aggressive. Winning on the highest difficulty is still easy, but getting rammed all the time is annoying. Everything else is fine

The arcade mode is very short, but the driving is solid and has some additional modes if you want to put in a few more hours. Get it for $5 or less.
Hmm it doesn't work with controller! The button that's normally the "gas" button pauses the game and the "break" button doesn't do anything and there isn't anyway I can find to remap them. It's a shame I played the game on counsel before and it's a blast!
