Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number

Greatly expands on the world shown in the first Hotline Miami with a wide variety of characters. Soundtrack continues to be incredible, and lots of interesting new gameplay styles.

I initially found Hotline Miami 2 to be a very fun game, however, once you get past level 3 or so, you start to realize how the game is very gun focused and going in mostly melee is not an option. This would be great if the game didn't have such a short combo time and horrific detection. It also seems to have worse hitboxes than HM1, which isn't to say HM1 had bad hitboxes, but this is a sequel! It's a nice story with some iconic characters and looks very good, don't get me wrong, but this game just isn't remotely as fun as anything else I've played recently. HM1 is at least 4 times better than this game purely due to map layout.
