The game is very fun, but besides the developers being greedy and siding with epic, the game has a lot of downsides. The collision physics only seem to work when the AI is trying to screw you over. When you hit someone from behind, you lose speed and the car you hit gets a boost. But when someone hits you from behind, you're the one who loses speed, while the other driver keeps their momentum and sometimes even goes straight through your car like a ghost. Most of the time, the AI feels like it's trying to make you lose rather than actually race. And what's the point of having a perfect launch mechanic if, after just an hour of playing, you get a car that's so fast that a perfect launch only makes you crash into the cars in front of you? Especially since you always start in last place. This is the typical kind of design you see when developers are unable to properly balance their game and instead compensate by throwing frustrating mechanics at the player. Anyway, I loved the game, but because of all these issues, I can't leave a positive review.

I wasnt big into arcade racers back in the day, so there wasn't much nostalgia going in. After playing thru its 'campaign' and going back to complete its challenges, i feel like i missed out on a whole era. I would describe the feel of driving in this game as tight, heavy, yet fast and dangerous. The fast animation requires quick reflexes. Learning to get a feel for the cars and the handling is key, once you get into the rhythm it is addicting. It keeps you coming back just so you can feel that rush. Add in one of the best retrosynth soundtracks and you certified goal. one of my favorite games to come back to. The only reason for the negative review is the developer was bought by epic and took their game off of steam. its a shame.

[b]HORIZON CHASE TURBO[/b], is a classic old school arcade racer with exactly what you would come to expect, with nothing being left out. There is a campaign but this game focuses on getting you right into the game. All you have to do is pick your car, race track, and you get to racing! You race across beautiful pseudo-3D raster race tracks, where the car slightly turns for you, but all that stands between you and first is your own skill. There are so many tracks that house heart racing fun. The collectibles in each track give you some replayability, but with so much content, especially with the DLCs you will have lots of completionist things to do. The biggest downside is that car bumping can be very punishing and VERY frustrating at times. Gostei muito desse game, jogabilidade é bem boa e desafiante em alguns pontos, lembra bastante o clássico Top Gear de Snes!

Não adianta nem eu indicar, a Steam não vende mais o jogo. É uma pena, porque ele é legal!
