Hoplegs is 2D platformer game where you control cube which have four legs appear from side when pressed. While the game looks family friendly/ to be enjoyed by whole family it is important to acknowledge how difficult maps get in story campaign, even with assist mode active. It's also worth noting game has Steam Workshop support for custom maps where even creator of the game has posted few maps outside of story campaign. If you are up to very challenging 2D platformer Hoplegs is a good pick. While game can be played with keyboard I'd still recommend to play this game with controller.
I am usually not a fan of games with very little room for error, but Hoplegs is absolutely the exception. What I absolutely love is that that there's something for everyone. The learning curve is nice and steady at the start so players have the chance to practice getting used to the controls, but The Peak was tailored made for die hard fans of the rage game genre. The tutorials are straightforward, and the aesthetic makes it very enjoyable to continuously play, despite mistakes that put you back. I also LOVE that there's a level editor available for fans to make their very own levels. Everything about this game makes the "suffering" you go through an enjoyable experience. I'm really excited to see the future of Hoplegs. 10/10
A nice and challenging game that have very strong Jump King vibes with new ways to boggle your brain around every corner. It feels real good once you start getting the hang of your legs, but it's no running start that's for sure! I started out with keyboard but found that it was way better with controller. This game is all about wrapping your brain around the obstacle and how you wanna sequence it and that was just so much easier with controller, but if you want a real mind boggler then try it out with keyboard! In summary I would warmly recommend this to anyone with a little bit of patience and a love for challenges! It's well worth the price tag!
Oceniam na razie Single player: - Gra bywa frustrujące niczym "getting over it".
Infuriating. Nice job. This is a Jump King/Getting Over It style game, where a lot of the challenge comes from just getting used to the intentionally weird controls. But compared to most games in this... genre? I'd say this game both has more content than you usually get, and is more accessible. In terms of content, you've got a traditional campaign split into levels, a Jump King/Getting Over It style giant level with no checkpoints, competitive and co-op multiplayer (though I haven't touched either of these), and even a level editor. And in terms of accessibility, I think the traditional campaign makes it a lot easier to digest than being thrown into the one giant level and beaten into submission. It's not nearly as demotivating to just go back to the last checkpoint when you mess up, compared to JK/GOI where you can fall all the way back to the beginning if you make a single mistake. Also, there are actual accessibility settings, like being able to slow the game down or make the jump stronger. If you're into games like Jump King and Getting Over It, and/or if you're a streamer with viewers who enjoy watching you suffer, I think this game's worth checking out.
Fun as ♥♥♥♥ but hard as hell
MY THUMBS HURT. This game is a lot of fun. There is great satisfaction in surpassing every challenge. At the same time, This is the most frustrating game I have ever played. It takes some serious understanding of how to make the physics work for you to get through every new challenge. I keep pressing the buttons harder, but somehow that does not make me better at the game. :/
Fun game, lots of stuff to master :D
