Why this is the greatest game of all time If I could only keep one mobile game for the rest of my life, it would be Hooked Inc. without hesitation. I’ve played countless games over the years, and nothing has kept me coming back like this one. It takes a simple concept fishing and turns it into one of the most satisfying, rewarding, and surprisingly relaxing experiences on mobile. Every session feels productive, whether I’m actively playing for a few minutes or checking back later to collect progress. The balance between idle mechanics and active gameplay is excellent, making it perfect whether you have hours to play or just a few spare minutes. The progression is what really makes Hooked Inc. shine. Unlocking new boats, upgrading equipment, catching bigger and rarer fish, and constantly setting new goals creates an addictive loop that never feels stale. There is always another milestone to reach, another upgrade to save for, or another challenge to complete. Every achievement feels earned, and the game rewards dedication without making it feel overwhelming. The visuals are colorful, clean, and charming. The animations are smooth, the ocean environments are beautiful, and watching huge schools of fish appear never gets old. Combined with the relaxing sound effects and satisfying gameplay, it’s the perfect game to unwind with after a long day. One of the biggest strengths of Hooked Inc. is how easy it is to learn while still offering plenty of long-term depth. New players can jump right in, but veterans always have something new to optimize or unlock. That balance is incredibly difficult to achieve, yet this game does it effortlessly. I’ve recommended Hooked Inc. to friends and family, and everyone I’ve introduced to it has enjoyed it. It has that rare quality where it appeals to casual players and completionists alike. It’s fun, polished, rewarding, and consistently entertaining. Huge credit to the developers for continuing to support the game and keeping it enjoyable over time. It’s clear a lot of care has gone into making every part of the experience satisfying. In my opinion, Hooked Inc. isn’t just one of the best idle games ever made it’s one of the best mobile games ever created. If you’re even remotely considering downloading it, do yourself a favor and give it a try. You might think you’re downloading a simple fishing game, but you’ll end up discovering an experience that’s relaxing, rewarding, and incredibly hard to put down. Five stars without question.

It’s awesome, though… It’s a great game, it’s keeps my occupied, but there’s a few things about it, I mean, when one of the missions is to get three crewmates, it’s kind of hard to with the amount of gems you have to use up, and getting gems is hard, it’s kind of hard to play, but overall, it’s a awesome game

Good game, but optional ads don’t give awards I really enjoy this game, which is why this issue is so frustrating. The biggest problem is that the optional ad rewards rarely work. Whether it’s spinning the wheel, getting 4× the daily login bonus, doubling box rewards, or earning gems, I can watch a full 1–2 minute ad and then receive nothing afterward. To give an example, today alone I watched 50 rewarded ads and only received the reward 17 times. That’s terrible and that was only today only, especially considering how much time those ads take. It makes me feel like my time is being wasted. I also purchased the “remove forced ads” option, and I’d gladly pay for another upgrade that removes all optional rewarded ads as well. You could still limit features like the wheel spin if needed, but things like doubled rewards, gems, and login bonuses should be included. I think many players would appreciate that option if you updated it that way because as of right now that is just a scam purchase and I wouldn’t recommend anyone to actually purchase it since it does nothing. If adding a paid alternative isn’t possible, then please prioritize fixing the rewarded ad system. Watching a long ad and receiving nothing is incredibly annoying. I genuinely like the game and want to keep supporting it, but this issue needs to be addressed.

Buggy Ad-Watching Simulator Attempting to play Hooked Inc is a tragic experience. The graphics are pleasant, and their take on the typical mobile idle-game is unique enough to make it pretty enjoyable when the game actually works as intended. Unfortunately, the frequent, obnoxious ads ruin the experience and make the game nearly unplayable. I played this game quite a bit a few years ago (before COVID), but deleted it in frustration from the incessant random ads, and the optional ads failing to register and give the promised rewards. Now, 6+ years later, the ad problem appears to have only gotten worse. I understand the “watch-ads-to-play” model has become the industry-standard for mobile games, but how is it acceptable to force a random, unskippable ad every 1-2 minutes? And how has the issue with ad rewards not registering gone unaddressed for over 6 years? Some of the ads are 60+ seconds long and require you to interact with them in some way for them to finish. When trying to open chests, spin the wheel, or double your login bonus, you have to watch 3-4 of these ads before the reward actually registers. When you finally give up with trying to fight the game into giving you the promised rewards, you’re given a random ad. For example, when opening crates, you have the option to watch an ad and double the reward, or open it immediately for a half-reward. Even when I try to open it for the half-reward, I’m given an ad anyway. I’ve played a few similar idle-style mobile games, and none ever had issues with ad-rewards failing to register. Since Hooked Inc has had this issue for at least 6 years now, I’m convinced the devs either have no interest/capability in making the game function, OR they purposely withhold rewards at random to make you watch more ads. Either way, it makes this game not worth your time; I honestly think filling your underwear with fire ants and chewing on shards of broken glass would be less irritating than attempting to play Hooked Inc.

Bug Fix I’ve noticed a few issues while playing Hooked Inc. I’ve been playing this game for over a year and currently have a 478-day streak, so I’ve seen quite a few changes over time. One issue is that when I log in and try to claim my offline earnings, the ads often won’t load, which means I can’t multiply my offline earnings. I also really miss when we were able to x2 our earnings first and then multiply them by x14. That made progressing through the game feel much less stressful, especially since it can already take quite a while to reach the next stage. Removing that option has made progression feel about twice as difficult. Another issue I’ve noticed is with the wheel. When I choose to watch an ad to spin the wheel, sometimes the ad finishes but the wheel never actually spins. This makes watching the ad feel like a complete waste of time because I don’t receive the reward. I really enjoy Hooked Inc. and have been playing consistently for over a year, which is why I wanted to bring these issues up. I’d really appreciate it if the offline earnings multiplier and wheel issues could be looked into, and I’d especially love to see the x2-then-x14 earning option brought back. It made the game much more enjoyable and less frustrating to progress through.

Fun, but ads are horrendous I enjoy the game, even though it’s so simple it’s thoughtless, but the forced ads are so abundant it’s ridiculous. I don’t think I’ve gone more than 2 minutes without getting ads just from playing the game normally. I understand the marketing strategy of “annoy the play so badly with ads that they want to pay just to get rid of them”, and I almost fell for it, but it’s the scummiest business model besides collecting and then selling consumer information. I wanted to enjoy this game, but I’m going to delete it before my force of will falters and I waste money on swiped screens with the ‘wait 30 seconds to a minutes to press the skip button that redirects you to the store page twice before you can exit out of the ad’ mini-game interspersed throughout.
