Game straight up doesn't run on Linux/SteamDeck because of Kernel-Level Anti-Cheat that they only mention in the "Additional Notes" sections of the System Requirements. Even on Windows the game is unplayable because every time I finish the first stage, I get hit with a "Invalid Parameters" error message and booted back into the initial loading screen. So I'm basically stuck and can't progress the game.
Only use the steam version of this game if your mobile device literally can't run it. PC players can't participate in the score ranking system, which is fine until an entire subset of the current event's rewards are locked behind it. To the devs: Don't publish a game on PC if you're just going to punish players for using the PC version.
Been a holofan and rhythm player for god knows how long, but as much as I want to like this game... I couldn't recommend this at its current state especially on PC. Why does a rhythm game need Kernel Level Anti-Cheat in the first place? Everything looks cute and all (I really love how every chibi looks suspiciously detailed...), but if the main selling point of the game isn't even that great, then why even bother trying at all? This game is definitely made for Mobile devices, but they didn't even try to accustom the rhythm controls for PC. There's no point releasing on Steam if you can't properly play the game. I would definitely give this game another chance (I really like the Kronii chibi) once problems in the current state of this game are addressed.
Undisclosed kernel-level anti-cheat, bah. play on phone or something
-PC port is terrible. Don't expect decent scores or to be able to play above hard considering how clunky it is. It was not properly ported and 1 button press covers like 3-4 actual lanes. It's easy but again, your scores will suck and you are exempt from certain aspects of the game if you're on PC. -Gacha rates aren't terrible but the currency economy is a barren wasteland. Banners come out pretty quick and have a 200 pull pity but that'd probably take at least a year to get as f2p. The game is relatively generous for new accounts (like 2-3 free 10-pulls and 2-3 5-stars for free) which is nice but afterwards it is terrible. I hope they fix it but not expecting anything. -No voice acting for actual dialogue, not that i expected it. -Story is extremely shallow, pretty much zero effort. Skipping recommended since they're actually all cutscenes instead of dialogue boxes. -Minigames are ok -Menus are as bad and confusing as you'd expect -Battlepass -Ridiculous pricing on gacha ($20 for a 10-pull) -Highscores are based on your team composition and basically made for whales. I really wanted a hololive rhythm game so was looking forward to it. It's really disappointing how Japan is obsessed with turning every idea into gachaslop but the people eat it up. Running around is cute but could do without the entire adventure mode and just have a rhythm game honestly.
