High On Life 2

Played the whole game through after the first patch, about 20-25 hours and only experienced 2 crashes. Maybe I'm lucky, but it held a pretty steady performance the whole way through. I'm a big fan of how much more open the games feels and the level design. Story was pretty good, but the end fell a bit flat. Overall, I did enjoy the game, if I had to go back, I would probably wait for a decent sale. $60 is a bit steep, but I enjoy the lore and the atmosphere of the first and second game. They have also held up their end of rolling out performance fixes and I will say it has improved. Looking forward to a DLC.

High on Life 2 is an incredibly fun game. It expands way more compared to the first game where a lot of it feels the same. The Story is well done and the jokes are well done. Not all the jokes land but I have a smile on my face throughout the playthrough and the side content is also more expanded than before. While I generally recommend the game the only bad thing I can point out which most reviews have already did is performance/technical issues. This game would have been perfect if there were minimal technical bugs present. I have already hard crashed more than 10 times playing this game and it has killed the vibe when it happens. I'd wait until the technical/performance issues are fixed or if it goes on sale before buying this game. Overall I rate the game 6 to 7/10 with its performance issues but I will raise it to 8.5 or 9/10 once they get patched out.

El primer juego estaba en mi top 5 de videojuegos favoritos de toda la vida y era un producto que yo consideraba la combinación y ejecución perfecta del First Person Shooter. Dicho lo anterior, creo que sobra decir que una secuela (la cual en su momento por la controversia de Roiland me parecía imposible que sucediera) iba a ser algo muy importante para mi, por lo que reservé el juego, lo jugué día 1 y holly fck1ng sh1t, esta madre es el mejor shooter que he jugado en mi vida en todas sus variantes. High On Life 2 es el juego mas divertido que he tenido el placer de jugar en este genero, quien sea que se le haya ocurrido la m4ldita idea del skate es un absoluto genio, de verdad que no me explico lo fluido, frenético y bien pulido que está el gameplay. El humor me parece incluso superior al del primerio con muchos chistes bastante fuertes para el contexto social actual y eso mismo era justo lo que quería ver, genuinamente el humor no tiene respeto por nadie y es increíble. La historia del juego ahora tiene momentos algos mas dramáticos o serios en situaciones muy puntuales, cosa que no termina desentonando con el concepto realmente y que hacen ver que se realizó un trabajo superior con la narrativa de esta secuela. Arriba de 30 horas, he acabado la campaña y aún siento que me falta mucho por descubrir, easter eggs, misiones secundarias, logros, sigo sin creer que puedes ganar un juicio de suma importancia anotando una canasta de basket, si GTA6 no sale este año, tengo un digno GOTY personal. Como único punto malo, si bien no tuve tantos bugs, la compilación de shaders cada vez que lo juegas es una reverenda falta de respeto. Hace meses esperé con estas mismas ansias Little Nightmares 3 y me decepcionó bastante, me alegra saber que High On Life 2 mereció completamente la espera. COMPRALO C4Br0N
