For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Se avete giocato SeaPower e vi è piaciuto come genere, allora dovete provare Harpoon perchè, insieme a Jane's Fleet Command, ne è genitore.

Just as I remembered it, and just as complex and satisfying. Minimal graphics, maximum realism. It's as if you're in a CIC deciding what to do. You need to understand your unit strengths and weaknesses or you'll watch helplessly as your frigate with great AAW but poor sonar goes down to a torpedo. I have a memory that Harpoon was used by the Navy for training and simulations back then, but that might me apocryphal. Thoroughly enjoyable.
For the age, sale price, continued developer interest and historical quality of this game, I recommend it to those who enjoy this sort of Strategic Naval Combat emulator. For those of you who don't-don't buy it so you have nothing to complain about. Update: Cloud Save Support from today. That's it. If you still have something negative to say about this game, then you're the problem, not the game.
Back in the day I had bought Harpoon when it came out but could not invest the time needed to really dig into the meat of this great game. Now in my 50's, I have the time and so glad this version is back and only for the price of a Big Mac combo meal... can't go wrong with that. - Not to mention all the scenarios given, way more than enough to keep ya busy for a long, long time, do not miss the editor at all. For sure a great time right now for PC naval gaming in the Cold War that I grew up in, several great games out there currently, and you can add this classic to the list. Hope they are also bale to release Harpoon II down the road.
I can't understand why Steam's workshop is not open????
The original iteration of Harpoon is 36 years old, and Ive played the game since then, off and on. If you've ever tried to play the tabletop wargame that spawned this video game you'll know that the video game is a much better way to play naval simulations in the 80s/90s. At £6.00 it's a bargain. BUT. No editor? Or have I missed something?
Very fun naval simulator. Simple UI, watch some tutorials to get a hang of how it works.
Old school, but extremely realistic depiction of modern naval combat. I suggest using NotebookLM, with the PDF rules loaded up to help you quickly learn how to operate the game. It feels very clunky if you aren't use to the older interfaces, but is totally worth the experience if you want a simulation and not just eye candy.
A great game that I enjoyed when it first came out. This release has a major shortcoming in that the scenario editor does not work which limits the enjoyment of the game. Fortunately I was able to get this on sale which helped make up for the disappointment.
Classic Harpoon - no more, no less. If you loved it back way back when then you still will and for the same reasons. A game that requires patience and understanding of the issues, mechanics and systems of its era - one that repays the time that you put into it.
