Fantastic game and a welcome reprieve from SF6, tbh. I wish I'd gotten into it sooner!

If youre a casual fighting game player then this game is great! If youre a competitive player, then the game is kinda good?
If youre a competitive player...

Game balance
The main concern if you're a competitive player will always be the balance of the game. I think its well known that update 2.0 is generally positivly recieved, however this isnt to say that it fixed the balance of the game, far from it actually. Sadely, the strongest characters from season 4 (Anji, Pot, May, Leo, Ram, Goldlewis) are still the strongest in the game today, despite practically running the game for almost 3 years now. The update also boosted other characters such as Zato and Nago, making them now extremely unfun to fight due to their explosive capablities, or easy-to-secure win condition. The balance of the game might be better than it was in season 4, however its just demoralizing that these characters are still problematic, 2 years later.
The replay system
Another massive issue this game has is the lack of a actual good replay system. In older Guilty Gear games, you could use something called "replay takeover" which allowed you pick anywhere in the replay, and start playing in that spot to practice! This feature also appears in SF6, however in Strive its gone. Furthermore, the replay system does not allow you to view frame data, nor rewind! If you wanted to re-watch a moment that you didnt understand, you have to replay the entire round from the start. Just being able to go back like 3 seconds would be amazing! Unfortently, its been 5 years since the game has released and this complaint is well known, so I dont see them addressing it anytime soon.
Equal Skilled Prolonged Sets are a pain to set p
Finally, a small complaint, but it would be nice to be able to play longer sets than just a ft2 with players in ranked! This is a small nitpick as you could always friend the person after you fought them, however this is a longer process than just having a dedicated mode! One of the strongest aspects of the tower system was that it allowed you to play longer sets with people, perhaps the tower can be reworked to enable this again! Allowing people to know anothers rank before they play them in open park would also be a work around solution!
Conclusion
Overall, this is a great game that is plagued by a few issues! If you're a casual, then you're going to love it and it will be money well spent. If you're a competitive player, you're going to find quality of life issues that just make the game more tedious to play than it needs to be, but there is still fun to be had!
If you're coming from a game like Street Fighter or Tekken this game may feel a bit overwhelming at first with all the mechanics but you can get pretty far with the bare minimum and learn the rest gradually over time. Its a lot more fast paced compared to other games and might be a bit harder to get better at in general but I think you can still have a pretty fun time. This also has one of the best soundtracks out of all the current fighting games so thats a plus. Overall pretty balanced and offers a unique but challenging experience to players coming from Street Fighter and Tekken.
Game that created my love for fighting games. Its beautiful and vibrant. A wonderful game.
