Honestly disliked fighting games before this one. this is a revelation for me
Great game, only issue is that the store page says that there is full PlayStation controller support but when steam input manager is turned off it doesn't take inputs from the controller (So don't use a PlayStation controller as steam input manager in my experience is very bad and constantly drops my inputs as well as turns my inputs into completely different inputs), also requiring a mod to even see which button does what (Note this is not an issue with Xbox controllers to my knowledge as I do not own one I cannot check).

Once you're in a match this game is fantastic: streamlined systems with good balance and excellent netcode. Best experience I've ever had with Guilty Gear, having played Xrd and ACR before. The game slowly connects to servers on launch... for no good reason, since it has to connect again once you're actually playing online anyway. Also the main way to actually get matches is "Ranked Mode", NOT quick tower or anything else; the other "unique" online modes are just awkward and annoying to use. This is a very good game which suffers from unintuitive annoyances outside of matches, but those issues are genuinely minor. Stupid that these issues exist at all, and unlikely to be fixed because they're probably hard-coded at a foundational level of Strive's programming, but these issues are genuinely minor. If you're willing to learn a game as difficult as Guilty Gear, you'll learn how to navigate these menu annoyances easily enough
