Guardian is a 2D action-platformer set in the fantastic land of Erstwhile for the annual LARP event. Our heroine, Aria, dons the identity of Arcas and sets out on a quest to rescue the Greek Pantheon! With clever platforming and careful upgrades, help Aria achieve her goal and return home.
Revenue comes from in-game items and microtransactions, which our price-based model doesn't estimate. The player count below is how many people own it, not what they spent.

Okay so its a very cute, short, and slightly difficult game. It's a great way to just get a fast laugh especially for a free game. I think the dev team could do a few things to smooth out the gameplay loop but if they we hard they could for sure make it a solid game. Overall 7/10 for what it is. I enjoy the quick run and cheesy voices.
So, having completed Guardian: I can say that it is a very nice little game. It has a few issues: hit detection could be a bit wonky, voice acting could be a bit quiet at times and some floor textures had minor issues. But overall, I enjoyed it. I got a few laughs out of it, and as a big fan of Greek mythology: I liked the overall theme. I wish the developers the best of luck going forwards, and hope to see them improve with their work as time goes on.

Great way to experience the exquisite, infinite suffering of a mobile game for PC gamers. This game supersedes all of Dante's Inferno in terms of unimaginable anguish. The breakdown: The combat is pitifully dull. The animations rarely work half the time, so you're just mashing LMB to "hit" something while the healthbar goes down (if it even appears). This is clearly a shoddy mobile game that was ported to PC so the devs could skim a few dollars to make back the 1.50 they spent making this game.
"Guardian" is a very poorly made 2D retro pixel platformer/brawler with very little going for it... it's just one of many thousands of these infesting Steam and slightly lowering the average quality of all video games everywhere just by existing. This one has a "LARPer" theme as you pretend to be a great medieval fantasy hero and bash up stuff in dungeons, all while the ugly jaggy pixels hurt your eyes and ask what the point of buying a 4K monitor and spending over a thousand bucks on a 3D video card is if all developers are capable of in 2022 is pixelcrap. Yes, this features really godawful, lazy pixelcrap "art" instead of real graphics. It's hard to say if this was because the developer didn't have the skill to do the job of creating 3D visuals, or couldn't afford to hire someone who does, but it also doesn't matter. What matters is that this looks bad because of that decision, and that's a major deterrent to gamers. Games like Terraria and Stardew Valley succeeded despite the bad graphics, not because of them. Not every "free" game really is. There's often MTX, or content locked behind DLC, or donations being requested, or any other number of things that could mislead gamers, but in this case I'm glad to say this really does appear to be a fully free game. Nothing demonstrates a developers belief in themselves and their work than giving it away without any remuneration. This is a service to themselves, and the gaming industry, and should be applauded. Of course, just because something is free, doesn't necessarily mean it's valuable. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 2 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Not this time. This isn't worth downloading. While this won't cost you any money, you get what you pay for, and sometimes, even when the game is free, it's still not enough.
It's a nice storytelling game. Concept is great and everything is custom voice acted. However, cannot recommend because of atrociously terrible combat. Enjoy getting carpal tunnel from spamming LMB.
This game is like if a 5 year old attempted to make celeste in 15 minutes
Before I played Guardian, I had a small pp, no friends, no gf, depression, and no life. These things havent changed, but the game is pretty good
cool and funny dialogs , simple and somehow stupid gameplay! just jump on enemies and the first time they face you(and want to attack you)
