Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.14/day in the week to Aug 18 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
=======EN=======
This game is a classic example of the top down racing genre. Retro Vibes… Sort Of On the plus side, the game nails a retro atmosphere (mostly thanks to a catchy, era-appropriate soundtrack and character avatars modeled after iconic figures from the past). …But the Story Mode is almost non-existent The attempts to guide you “from zero to hero” are so thinly sketched that the narrative feels half-baked and fails to draw you in. The interface is clunky and at times downright irritating. Still, once you’re on the track, the core gameplay remains fairly enjoyable. I Played with a controller: the handling itself isn’t terrible, but it’s far too sensitive. What is worse, there is no grip on surfaces other than asphalt - when you do hit an off-road section, it’s like racing on ice. Fortunately, there aren’t many of those tracks. It takes about 5h to finish all three seasons and challenges. Pros ✅ Catchy, period-correct music ✅ Stylized character avatars inspired by cult-classic personalities ✅ Generally decent driving model (aside from the sensitivity and grip issues) Cons ❌ Poor UI/UX ❌ Almost non-existent, unengaging story mode ❌ Overly sensitive controls ❌ Zero grip on non-asphalt surfaces ❌ Very basic AI opponents, making the races far too easy. Kudos for trying to capture that old-school racing charm, but the weak interface, half-done story mode, and grip problems hold it back. Overall, the title deserves a Neutral rating more than a Positive one.

======= PL =======
No i mam trochę problem z tą grą. Tytuł ten należy do kategorii gier wyścigowych typu „top down racing”.

As a fan of driving games and after playing this for quite a while with an early access code i have grown to enjoy this lovely indie game. Its graphics give a grainy retro feel, but the game-play feels modern. For me it was a great blend of old and new; arcade graphics with a more realistic feel. The game was easy to get into at the start, however some of the rivals were a challenging bout. Overall the game looks great, handles well and the career mode +rivals are fun. There's definitely enough to play so far, but i would love to see a drift mode in the future. The upgrade system could use some tweaking and the UI can be improved, but i have to say i thoroughly enjoyed this game. This game would be great for all racing game fans, but it does offer a unique challenge unseen in most recent games. With low grip upgrades and high speed improvements your car will slide but if you balance it with enough cash its fun. Drifting is difficult to accomplish but with enough skill you can master the performance, (the gymkhana track helped a lot with this lol)
A nice looking retro racing game that's easy to get into but tricky to master. Best played with a controller, It requires a bit of fine control to win consistently, but that's part of the fun. You can't just accelerate straight into the corners and hope to brute force your way through. Upgrades can be used to tweak the feel of your car so if you want something that drifts a bit more through corners look at changing the front and rear grip for example. It's a simple system but it works quite well. My only gripe is that the 'Ferrari' is in the mid tier. I'm gonna have to upgrade it and win division 1 though, show those lambos who's boss. Testarossa babeee!
XUnity.
GT Racing 1980 is pure fun and nostalgia rolled into one. It throws you into the flashy, neon-drenched vibes of the 80s with cool retro cars and challenging tracks. The gameplay is simple but addictively fast-paced—easy to pick up, hard to put down. The top-down perspective and fast-paced mechanics provides a very fun experience. Retro aesthetic, with colorful, well designed environments, captures the era's charm. If you love classic racing games with a modern twist, this is a must-try.
Its not a good game, total waste of money, I've been playing racing games since 1992 and this is one of the worst!
WASD.
This game is cool. Cool music, cool graphics. You cannot be slamming the controls. Soft hands on everything, especially throttle or you will spin out. These cars like to oversteer a lot. At least that's how it was on Sim mode, I didn't try arcade. Upgrade rear tires, be very careful about upgrading front tires as it'll shift the balance back toward oversteer. Started to feel a little grindy when Division 1 unlocked as your car won't be good enough. Invitationals are by far the best source of cash which basically locks you to doing the 1 car/1 track for your current level of invitational, which ain't great. 20-30 minutes of invitationals to get to the next level of car if you're winning. AI is basically impossible to race wheel to wheel with, they will take you out. It's checkers or wreckers most races.
GT Racing 1980 is a great fun retro car racing game. The cars, soundtrack, competitors and racetracks all combine to give an authentic 80s feel to the immersive gameplay. The tutorial and time attack modes let you fine tune your skills, before taking on your rivals in match battles and in the enjoyable career mode. As you progress through the game, the new cars and customisation aspect to the garage really add to the enjoyment. Definitely recommend trying this game out!
