Grim Dawn

It took me several years to really get sucked into Grim Dawn. I've never been a fan of temporary seasonal progression that has become the standard for modern ARPGs. I enjoyed Titan Quest when I was a kid and have fond memories of playing Diablo 2 with my Dad. However with Grim Dawn, it was hard to look at with the way the UI was scaled above 1080p. With FOA, the QOL upgrades alone finally fixed that issue and I've had a blast. I've now leveled a character up to Level 61 and am working through the campaign with a number of different alts to get a better feel for the system. I'm still not quite creating my own builds, but I do think it's easier to do so because of the way the stats are in this game. Overall, this game is a nice change of pace and has a boatload of actual content. You could spend 40 hours just going through all the main quests and hitting a side quest here and there. Leveling is meaningful and it doesn't feel like the "real game" starts at 100. It took me a decade, but I am officially hooked. I look forward to where Crate goes with their next game and Grim Dawn 2 whenever it comes out.
