About
How long can you survive in the Amazon rainforest?
Green Hell VR is the most complex and authentic survival game for VR. The game faithfully recreates the dangerous conditions of the Amazon jungle. Alone and stranded, you will never feel safe. To survive, you have to face your weaknesses. Maintaining hunger, thirst, fatigue and mental health is going to be an integral part of your journey. Wild animal attacks and tropical diseases could strike you down at any time and out of nowhere if you are not prepared. Since you won’t get any help from the outside world, you need to craft your tools and weapons, learn how to build shelters, and heal nasty wounds.
You are Jake Higgins, a famous anthropologist, who is thrown deep into the emerald and impenetrable Amazonian rain forest. The green hell. Surrounded by predators with only your trusty smartwatch, backpack, and the survival guide you grabbed just before leaving home, you will follow the familiar voice of a loved one through this endless and inhospitable jungle, unveiling bit by bit how you got there in the first place. What you discover will be worse than what you fought so hard against to survive.
Crafting - you find yourself lost in the Amazon with almost nothing, so knowing how to craft crafting is your best friend. The VR experience makes crafting even more authentic as you need to find the right elements and combine them to make tools, weapons, bandages, and more.
Building - construct yourself a safe place to spend the night as sleeping on bare ground in the jungle may not be the best idea. Build a temporary shelter or find a perfect location, gather materials, and construct your base to cook what you found during your exploration, and to protect yourself from dangers lurking in the shadows.
Healing - inspect your limbs, bandage wounds, and extract parasites. Experiment with different treatments to survive in the wild. You will discover plants and their medical potential by mixing them and making a brew. Be careful though, some ingredients don’t go together, and some... well, you’ll see.
Food sources - you can hunt your dinner down, or you can choose not to kill animals. There are tasty and nutritious fruits like coconuts or bananas, a lot of unknown mushrooms, and plenty of plants, bulbs, and nuts to discover. These may be the sources of healthy proteins, carbohydrates, and fats, or they can have opposite effects! Be careful and stay healthy to survive.
With its vast mechanics based on natural movement and physics, and almost no visible UI and realistic gameplay elements such as your backpack and the map, Green Hell VR is highly immersive and gives you an opportunity to learn survival techniques in a harsh, demanding environment. Good luck!

TBH I hate and love what Incuvo did with the game. I finished pancake version and it was awesome. Now I'm trying to play VR and it's really anoying. You have to fight with the game interface instead of enjoying it, You drop things constantly, you grab things you dont want to grab despite pointing directly at them. And cmon we are couple of years after the release, there is no excuse fo such bugs. Graphics are amazing though. I would have given it a "maybe" but there is no such an option in Steam. To me when you have to fight with the game interface thats a big no. Besides the tutorial is broken, when you are at "locate Tobbaco Plant" there is no rope to climb on and you get stuck.
I got this game to play Multiplayer and It has no multiplayer but the washed version on standalone gets multiplayer. DO NOT BUY THIS GAME!

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

They recently said that after a 3 odd-year hiatus, they will FINALLY update the PC version of the game. I hope this incentivizes people to switch their reviews to positive, because if a game has a low rating, why would they update it when they have another one thats doing better. Im so exited for co-op, as is everyone. This game is really good without the update, but the only real reason its so downvoted is people arent getting enough of it. If you like survival games and dont have any friends, get this.
While this game is definitely more like the pc non-VR version, I don't recommend it cuz there's no multiplayer in it. In my opinion, this game is a lot more fun to play multiplayer. If you want to play multiplayer Green Hell, you will have to play the version on the Meta Quest Horizon store, though the play area is not as gigantic as the PC steam version, a lot of the map has been reduced to tiny rooms, and not open world. Oh, and friendlyfire (pvp) is enabled by default, unless you make a custom map to turn it off. Recipes also don't require as much pieces, and you can't build a 2nd+ floor anything as of right now, and a lot of the usual game mechanics and recipes that the steam version has, are not available in the meta quest horizon version.
Pretty fun but kinda looks like dev abandoned it no game breaking bugs though ( so far )
very cool game, at the time im writing this the 2026 roadmap has came to pcvr and co-op with modular building. if a leopard thingy attacks you just aim for its head with spear, if you hear some singing dont go near it
I Love this Game. It has its flaws but overall it's really good. I've played the psvr2 and the PC Version and even though most people Like the standalone/psvr2 Version a Bit more because of the Multiplayer and current Updates, i gotta say for me it's definitly the pcvr Version, because it's so much more in depth. I am at 70 hours Playtime already. Great Game and i cant wait for the coming Updates
even with a 3080 this game preforms like ♥♥♥♥ on the reccomended settings and has no index finger tracking support. The devs also abandoned this version to make their meta version which i can say from experiance is a buggy mess with co op thats worse then trying to hold logs in the game I honestly cant see myself playing this in the future 4/10 (I mean at least it has a story and a big map)
Game is fun and they're finally updating it!
this version is a flop HOWEVER they are planning to release the psvr2 version of the game on pcvr officially kinda like how IOI did for hitman vr which made it 10x better so i hope this is gonna be that on re-release, i actually would wait for that version because they said its coming in fall hopefully
