Probably the worst grappling hook game ever.
Grapple Gear is a F2P game, where your objective is to beat the gold time on each map while using the grapple. I personally didn't find it much appealing.

Eğlenceli bir oyun, boğuşmayı sevdim ve seviyeler eğlenceli ama kısaydı.

"Grapple Gear" is a student project from Neumont in Salt Lake City, Utah. This year the students made a simple low poly wireframe/cel shaded (hard to tell which look they were going for) speedrunner with a grapple mechanic. It's not the worst thing I've ever seen on Steam, neither is it the best. What do you do in the game? 3D platforming with a grapple swing mechanism. As fast as you can. In terms of visuals, this features fairly low quality low poly 3D visuals which will deter a lot of gamers, understandably. Gaming is a visual medium, and while some developers struggle with creating high quality visuals, failing to do so is a disservice to gamers. It's very difficult to recommend bad looking games. On the matter of pricing and value for gamers, most "free" games on Steam aren't really free. There's often nasty mobile app cash shops, or content locked behind DLC, or donations being requested, or any other number of shady pricing schemes that could mislead gamers, but in this case I'm glad to say this really does appear to be a fully free game. Nothing demonstrates a developers belief in themselves and their work than giving it away without any remuneration. This is a service to themselves, and the gaming industry, and should be applauded. Of course, just because something is free, doesn't necessarily mean it's valuable, or something you might want to spend your time on. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at just a dozen or so concurrent players, and now there's basically nobody playing it. Even though it's free. This is a dismal public reception, but it's easy to see why gamers rejected it. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? This is a "maybe" experience... if you have a lot of free time on your hands and nothing else to do, why not? But for the purposes of a review, this isn't something I can say everyone must try. It's not quite there. Valve doesn't give us a "maybe" option in reviews, but if they did, that's what I'd choose for this.
I will say this, it has potential to be fun. But the movement feels floaty and clunky. It doesn't feel fun to swing around, and it just feels bad. I think it would be nice to have an option to shoot a rope that doesnt pull you in, so you can get vertical momentum as well
I would honestly say this is just slop. the physics are so horrendous and I genuinely believe roblox physics are better also I've never felt so yuck when it comes to grapple mechanics L game
you get to grapple.. ik unbelievable right!?
