Grandma, Is That You?

A nice short horror game I really enjoyed it. stay away from the food grandma made for you tho !

This game took me just under 1 hour to beat with all achievements. I played the game with graphic settings maxed out and had no issues running it. I was pleasantly surprised at some of the details visually speaking. Much better then what I expected. The audio was another story. The voices sounded like they where AI with that metallic reverb AI puts in voices and the same flat tone. I would have preferred the dev just did the voices themself and put some character into it. Also the voices spoke soooooo slow. It like just spit it out already kind of thing. The music was ok but I typically turn in game music off or down as low as I can anyways as I don't enjoy it. I would say the audio was the worst part of this game. The gameplay was very linear although a couple times i wasn't paying full attention to Granny when she spoke due to how dang slow the voices speak and missed what I was supposed to do next so learned to save a lot in the hour of gameplay. It would have made the game a lot better to have a current objective menu or overlay in the corner. I guess the games only so big you could run around clicking on things and it wouldn't take too long but that makes a game less fun to have to do that. The story wasn't bad. I had a feeling what it was heading towards with how it turned out. About 2/3's of the way through I thought I knew how it was going to turn out but it was still fun enough. The very ending was a little twist that I didn't think was coming. The controls where alright. It was the typical slow walking in these indie games and you can walk faster but have to hold down a button the entire time. Would have been nice to be able to just lock fast walk on and be done with it. As far as the creepy and scary level it had a few jump scare attempts but for me none of them actually made me jump or flinch. The scariest part was how fast that granny moves when your not looking at her. One minute she is outside sitting and the next she's upstairs in her bedroom and all you did was leave the area for 2 minutes and come back lol it was comical to me. All in all this is a $5 USD indie game so I would give it about 3/5 stars. If the voices where updated to sound more realistic and speak faster i would be leaning more towards a 4/5 for an indie game. If you see it on sale pick it up and you shouldn't be upset you bought it.
