Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
AT A GLANCE

Game Name: Golden Rails: Small Town Story
Original Release: 2021-01-14
Genre Tags: Casual, Time Management
Estimated Playtime (Campaign): 8-10 hours
100% Achievements Playtime: 12-15 hours
DLC Required for 100% Achievements: N/A
Multiplayer Aspect: None
Replayability: None
Recommended To: Casual Gamers, Achievement Hunters, Kids

REVIEW
Golden Rails: Small Town Story is a casual, time management game. It is the second game in the Golden Rails series.
STORY
Jack, (formerly known as John,) and Jill, (still called Jill,) were on vacation when they helped a Mayor being chased by bandits. Jack and Jill vow to help the mayor eliminate Raging Buford and his gang by repairing the local railway to drive out the bandits.
GAMEPLAY
Each map has you doing tasks, like collecting resources and building buildings in a specific time frame in order to get a three star rating for each map. Some of the mechanics changed in this game from the previous game and take a little time to adjust to if you move into playing from the previous game.
PLAYTIME
Much like the previous game it is fairly easy, but some of the maps may require additional plays to get a 3-star rating. Play time is ~12-15 hours to get all achievements. Some achievements will need additional play past the end of the game to grind to 100%.
COMPLAINTS
There is nothing specific to complain about for this game.
REPLAYABILITY
There is NO replayability on this game as there is no end game mechanics, no map metrics to try to beat, and no engrossing story to return to.
RECOMMENDATION
While the fact that the game feels like a once and done kind of game; I do recommend it to anyone that likes casual games or is an achievement hunter.

good
I really enjoyed this game! Some of the levels were quite challenging, which made it all the more fun. It runs okay on steam deck as well, with the mouse pad acting as the cursor. Can definitely recommend this, and I'm excited to play more of these games!
This game is a continuation of Golden Rails: Tales of the Wild West. It brings in a few new mechanics and slightly changes old ones. And it's not an easy walk anymore - levels get strategically deeper and more difficult, most of them requiring two attempts to get 3 stars. But the storyline is not as good as in the previous part. And the 2 final achievements are grindy again, had to repeat one level for 12 times to build 100 gardens, which was really boring. 9/10
Fun game
Zurücktreten von der Bahnsteig Kante! Türen Schließen! Und Vorsicht vor der Abfahrt des Zuges! Nebenbei wird hier auch noch schnell eine Stadt gebaut.
A fun little game, really enjoyed it. I like the find the owl thing. Lots of words to make minimum word limit.
Schönes Spiel
Macht immer wieder Spaß.
