Highly recommend this game, if you remember boulder dash this is almost the same as it, the game play is fun and fast The controls are good as easy to pick up If you played spectrum games or retro games you'll love this game
If you've already enjoyed Boulder Dash, rest assured that this is a very polished and playable variation on those mechanics. This is clearly made by someone who understands the appeal of Boulder Dash. If you are not a Boulder Dash player (and maybe even if you are), you're getting into hours of frustration and grinding in a real-time puzzle game that will kill you over and over again for your slightest mistakes, but therefore also reward you with a huge sense of accomplishment when you figure out a solution and nail its execution.

Little nostalgia trip, feel the same as old games 20 years ago :)
* REVIEW EDITED DUE TO THE MAJOR RELOADED UPDATE 2022 * Now I can play on my Windows 10 laptop and on my Windows 10 desktop rig w/o issues. The tile size seems to adapt to the desktop resolution and doesn't stretch anymore *woot* Caves have either been polished or replaced by new ones. Controls feel fantastic now. Life limit is history. Dev added a campaign mode where your progress is saved. Time limit can now be switched off in practice mode. Even the animation when eating dirt has been improved. Played 11 hours since update w/o any issues. Fantastic retro feeling, played games like this in the good old days. 7/10 --> 9.5/10 ( added 2.5 points due to the mega update )
6/10
The developer recently updated the game to almost an entirely different experience and all of it is for the better. The developer changed the camera along with a bunch of other added features that are very nice. I have changed my review from a negative to a positive one because with the recent update a majority of my issues were fixed. The game is pretty simple, but it feels much more polished and more enjoyable to play than what it used to be. This is a solid game if this type of game is what you are looking for.
Get The Gems brings back memories of games like Pitfall 2, Rescue on Fractalus, The Eidolon or River Raid that we used to play on our 8-bit home computers. If you enjoyed playing Boulder Dash, Emerald Mine, Supaplex or Werner Flaschbier, Get The Gems is for you. Fortunately, the difficulty level isn't quite as high as it was back then. Besides, you have an infinite number of lives, and there's a campaign mode that automatically saves your progress. If you want, you can even change the game speed. Great casual game for little money!
Get The Gems appears to be an exact ripoff of the popular 1980's Commodore 64 game, Boulderdash. The developers even seem to have copied the levels block for block. I wonder if they know Boulderdash is still under copyright? Yet another copyright violation from thieving developers making cash off the work of others. Shame, shame, shame. Don't reward this moral bankruptcy.
Simple y entretenido.
The game brings back great memories, because I played emerald mines in my youth to the point of insanity ^^ And I must say, Get the Gems comes closest to this experience by far. Clear buy recommendation - at this price a no brainer!
