Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Marvelous writing, it really feels like a good book. Has some downsides, like I feel since all the areas in the game are square the devs wanted to fill them all in which is sometimes unnecessary. The graphics are, of course, not astonishing, too. But it was a blast and a great story.
A unique take on magic with strong writing and story. If you ask me, a classic of turn-based strategy RPGs and a great game. I am glad I can have the chance to play through it again and that Spiderweb is still able to do what they do. In the quiet, extensive, and well crafted level building, writing, and mechanics there is a depth of beauty and art. If you have not played a Spiderweb software game, this is an excellent place to start. Not only does this title have a tremendous amount of depth, it is also a ton of fun! If you are familiar with the series, this is a straightforward and tasteful modernization with significant replay value and an affecting experience.

something interesting about this remake, the first game has that vintage charm and a classic and a true masterpiece. from what I have seen thus far it maintains all the origin charm with better graphics and more modern interfaces. I personally would have like to see a Geneforge 6 but I can understand why the developers wanted to revitalize this classic. Would I recommend the remake or the original, that depends if you are looking to relive the nostalgia, this game is a true vintage masterpiece as its almost a quarter century old, but if you are looking for a more modern experience go with Mutagen, the price is well worth it as its a great game and will easily take 40+ hours to complete. I personally am on the fence but I grew up with games like Ultima I-VIII. I have played the original, so I will stick with the remake, but if I never played either I am not sure.
Fantastic game! The best Spiderweb one I've played so far.
Love spiderweb games, they pull you into their world with ease, like a good book you can't put it down. So happy to see all of their best work revamped and made good for modern day computer. Gives you a chance or excuse to play them all over again.
Didn't finish yet but I can post the review already. Stay away from it! One of the worst game design I ever seen when it comes to combat (not mechanics but the enemies one encounters, their abilities and their sheer amount). I will update the review after finishing the game. I am honestly extremely disappointed because I really liked the Avadon saga.
This game shows some strange flaws, at times irritating ones, yet I recommend: I was entertained enough to finish it, with some degree of enthusiasm and curiosity still. Rather strange that a studio with a catalogue this size still can't manage a smart interface: 2 redundant buttons for Hot Spots inefficiency; inventory baked in 1957, with no QoL features, yet effort put into new asinine limitations; crippled remapping that defeats its purpose by excluding mouse and basic keys; etc... But the Save system is good and fit for purpose, notably as a workaround for the issues partly mentioned above and coming below. It only lacks the ability to save during a turn, mistakenly conflating turn-based movement with combat (not that combat ever justified disabling a Save menu.) Major flaws are at leas two: Firstly, mobs are as numerous, combat as frequent as in, say, an Infinity Engine title. Yet combat is turn-based. Adding oil to that dumpster fire, mobs often know where you are as soon as you enter a map, share the knowledge, and rush to you. On other maps, they just patrol at superspeed and spot you sequentially with similar results. In both cases, when you reach a new map, combat starts before you can move, you kill things, you quit TB mode, which restarts automatically 1 second later, you kill the new comers, you quit TB mode, and so on and so forth many, many times. For ages, since it's TB. You've got to super-quick-save, if you can manage, between the rushing mobs. Once they stop coming, you can finally start exploring. In short, that's mob design for the opposite, better system, the RTS with automatable characters and pause. The second major flaw relates both to the 1st one and to the UI: While you walk slowly, mobs and NPCs are all speedsters, and half of them barely ever stay still for a second. A common issue for initiating dialogue. There's no pause, and switching to TB mode means combat: clicking on a finally still NPC now means attacking them, not talking to them. Meanwhile, combat keeps starting before you even notice an enemy is in sight. It's pretty hard to get control and initiate events. Not to mention that individual moves and strategic placement of units is generally impossible. But one gets used to this nonsense and, once started, combat mechanics are mostly reliable. It's just long, grindy, and unrewarding when trash mobs are involved. Specially so since XP gains diminish with your level. Down to zero XP for the hundreds of lethal mobs you'll still have to patiently eradicate. (I must also mention the abundant Pylon, a mob so poorly set up it seems borrowed from Owlcat's Pathfinder.) Still, most of the encounters are decently built and balanced, with room for tactics, experimentation, rethinks, cheese, suspense, fun, and whatnot. You can often tactically turn a seemingly impossible fight into a challenging one, if not a surprising piece of cake. Might need a few stubborn retries though, because the RNG is way too wide to be reliable. What brought me to try this game didn't disappoint: The setting and worldbuilding are unusual, well conceived, well described and fairly consistent. You play a noob from a race of evil godlings, wandering through a forgotten world taken over by the descendants of your ancestors' former slaves. You'll have 3 classes to pick from, and full moral latitude. Exploration is engaging, challenges are rarely limited to a single solution, access to lore and dialogue is abundant and optional. In short, it's as much an RPG or an Hn'S as you want it to be. And I can definitely see the replay value, both mechanically and in terms of choices.
Wonderful CRPG, great story, amazing mechanics, 12/10
It's a good game with an interesting and engaging story. A well made classic crpg brought up to snuff with modern hardware.
I bought this game on Steam and GOG, I love it so much
