非常有特点的设计,以连连看为基础,设计了一套非常有意思的系统
Great game if one remember that it is only that. You have the possibility to grind and make it your entire identity if you want or you can take it slow and just explore and do things your own way. For a free-to-play game it is really good, I love the descriptions on the troops and how you can make your own team and win and even if you loose a battle you still get things for it.

Gems of War - Puzzle RPG is a free-to-play match-three game that combines puzzle battles with RPG progression, collectible troops and kingdom management. Instead of simply matching gems for points, I use matches to generate resources for my team and then defeat opponents through a mixture of planning, abilities and careful team building. The combination gives the familiar puzzle formula much more depth than a standard match-three game. The biggest strength for me is the combat system. Matching four or more gems can create extra turns or special effects, so I have to think beyond simply making the biggest match available. A good move can set up another match and create a chain of actions, while a careless move can give my opponent an opportunity to do the same. Team building is another major attraction. I can collect different troops and combine their abilities to create teams with specific strategies. Some combinations focus on generating resources, while others are built around dealing huge amounts of damage or controlling the enemy. Experimenting with different teams gives me plenty of reasons to keep playing. The RPG progression adds a strong sense of long-term development. I can improve troops, unlock new abilities and develop kingdoms, giving me objectives beyond simply winning individual puzzle battles. There is always another upgrade or collection goal to work toward, which makes the game particularly easy to sink time into. The amount of content is also impressive. There are numerous modes, quests, events and challenges, so I rarely feel like I have completely run out of things to do. The game can keep introducing new goals long after I understand the basic puzzle mechanics. The biggest weakness is the sheer amount of progression. There are so many currencies, upgrades, troops and systems that getting fully comfortable with everything can take a long time. New players can easily feel overwhelmed by all the different menus and activities competing for their attention. The free-to-play structure is another concern. Although I can play without spending money, progression can become slower and more demanding as I advance. The large number of systems and resources can sometimes make the game feel designed around keeping me playing continuously rather than simply letting me enjoy a few matches. The randomness of the puzzle board can also occasionally be frustrating. Even with good decision-making, an opponent can benefit from a favourable board, while an unfortunate sequence of matches can leave me in a difficult position. That unpredictability is part of the genre, but it can make some losses feel less satisfying. Overall, Gems of War - Puzzle RPG is a surprisingly deep combination of match-three combat and RPG progression. I love the strategic gem matching, huge collection of troops and enormous amount of progression, while the complicated systems and aggressive free-to-play structure can become overwhelming. If I enjoy puzzle games with long-term character and team development, though, it offers an impressive amount of content. Rating: 7.3/10
