Obscure and surreal point-and-click masterpiece heavily influenced by the works of Carl Jung. At its core it’s a fishing game and a dating simulator (yes, really) set in a decaying, rotten industrial world populated by broken biomechanical machines struggling to keep themselves sane and alive through meandering busywork and endless tasks. The world of Garage is miserable, cruel, even soul crushing, but ultimately it’s the only existence these machines have ever known. As such, playing through and seeing the machines go about their daily routines, managing to get by and uphold a fragile fabric of order within this decrepit reality is strangely comforting and even cathartic at times. There are multiple interwoven narratives that explore the backgrounds of each inhabitant in Garage and how their psyche is shaped by this world and beyond it. The core gameplay is satisfying and offers a lot of depth, more than initially meets the eye. Catching different kinds of fish, upgrading your machine parts, trading in caught fish for coupons to buy better equipment and lures. And uncovering the secrets behind Garage, with multiple endings to unlock as well. It is not a feel good game at all necessarily, but deeply engrossing and hard to put down once you start playing. The misery is a part of the experience, as it is the strange nightmare world of Garage pulling you in. Even months after finishing it, I still can’t get this game out of my head. It’s definitely an acquired taste, but I highly recommend taking this strange ride, there is absolutely nothing else like it.

imagine making one game and it's the best game
i played for 5 minutes before a robot asked me to open her hatch revealing a glowing vaginal port for me to insert my "output shaft" into
Better than Scorn. You can't change my mind
I absolutely love this game's style, gameplay, and history but unfortunately found myself lost so often I no longer enjoyed playing it myself. However, I still highly recommend this to fans of older games, those who enjoy games with complex game rules and mechanics, and, generally, anyone with a better sense of direction than me.
This was an amazing experience. We need more games like this
This is a fishing simulator disguised as the most impactful and unique point and click game I've ever played. Genuinely in my top 10, and I am getting tearful thinking about how close this game was to being lost to obscurity.
Literally one of the best games Ive ever played and I dont even understand it. If your into deep old fashinoed dark psychological fiction then please play it. I love this game so much.
Recommended because It's relatable not funny
