制作细节到位，局内动画流畅，但过场动画真有点拖沓。

Small but really good puzzlegame. The chess aspect combines the already familiar chess knowledge with an interesting level design and gameplay. If you like puzzle and / or chess, this is for you.

2025年3月8日，成就通关了益智国际象棋游戏《Gambit Shifter》，大约6小时。 这是一个闯关解谜类型的游戏，在80多个关卡中，玩家每一关的目标都是突破敌人的重重阻隔，拿到王冠。在移动的过程中，需要考虑升变顺序、传送门、传送带、障碍物、敌人的行动轨迹等多个要素。 在难度设计上相当亲民。这主要体现在三个点上：首先，玩家自己需要操纵的棋子自始至终只有一个，无论是兵，还是升变为马、车、象，都不需要考虑是否还有其他棋子的存在。这样一来，给玩家的入门门槛很低。即使是不擅长国际象棋，只懂得基本规则的玩家，也可以轻松上手。其次，每一关都相对短效精悍。比较简单的关卡只要四五步就可以通关，即使是后期最难的几个，也不过是十六七步。第三，每关开始时，屏幕上方都会出现本关的“最佳步数提示”。只要能够通关，不管多少步都是可以的。但是如果想要全成就，那么必须每一关都是最佳步数通关。 这样一来，就把这款游戏打造得易学难精。对于只想体验游戏乐趣的玩家而言，大可使用自己的策略过关。而对于我这样的全成就玩家，那么不找到最方便快捷的策略誓不罢休。如果只是移动棋子，半分钟乃至20秒过一关是很轻松的，全成就也不过需要1个小时。但是有些关卡，我确实是反复尝试了十遍以上。比较容易出错的主要有三种：第一种是吃了不该吃的棋子，浪费时间。第二种是提前吃了某个棋子，造成敌方的强力棋子失去遮挡，可以直接威胁到我方。第三种是没有计算好传送带或者敌方棋子的巡逻路径。

ui feels like a mobile game put on steam reverting move after losing the piece is a good feature, except for the fact you have to sit through the entire animation every time lacks substantial challenge overall, only a select few of the last levels are really "puzzles" and they're all predicated on the knight piece. Almost everything before that is simply following the most simple apparent path. if you are going to buy it, do it while it's on sale

maybe a bit short for 7.99 but i got it off Humble so it is what it is
