I honestly don't even know where to begin, because I genuinely don't understand how it's possible to release a game this empty when it had so much potential. I discovered this game on TikTok and got incredibly hyped for it. I was so excited that I bought it with a friend on release, expecting an absolute banger. Instead, I spent 10 minutes repairing a van, turned the key, and thought: Finally, we're going tornado hunting. Then the screen faded to black. Session over.

I genuinely thought repairing the van was just the introduction. Imagine my surprise when I realized that it was actually the entire game. The developers clearly put almost all their effort into the graphics instead of the actual gameplay. And don't get me wrong, the game looks good. But honestly, at this point, you'd probably have a more immersive and entertaining experience playing a mechanic simulator. There are literally more achievements than there is content in the game.

And seriously, I have no idea what the people who enjoyed this game were expecting. Apparently, it really doesn't take much to satisfy some people. One thing is for sure: Don't listen to the positive reviews. They have to be bots, because there's simply no other explanation. On the other hand: Read the negative reviews. They will actually show you what this game really is.

Honestly, just stay away from this game for now. In its current state, this should be a DEMO AT BEST.
The core concept's great, but oof, there are a lot of rough edges. In a nutshell: you get a shopping list of stuff you need to win, then run out into a randomly-tiled town to scavenge it all, while Hollywood-esque environmental hazards try to kill you. It's a fun time, and while there's not too much variety yet, there's a Phasmophobia-like workflow to it as you learn how things work and where stuff generally spawns. That said, right now the biggest problem is that multiplayer scales poorly across the board. Solos through nightmare difficulty are very doable; 2-4 objectives can be done extremely quickly. 2-4 players, the game still feels pretty good at about 5-8 things to bring back. Scale it up towards 8 players though, and the limited item spawns, overlapping mechanics, and short timer hit much harder, and make maps unforgiving or impossible to complete. I'm also sure much of this will be improved with balance patching, but. Acid rain and hail are awful mechanics to play around in a multiplayer lobby. When they're up on the map, they persistently drain player health while outside, with higher rates of drain based on difficulty. The idea is for people to use umbrellas cooperatively, shielding their teammates between house to house. The trouble is that, mechanically, having more than one person searching the same house isn't currently useful. Trying to run a bus service with one person carrying an umbrella similarly doesn't work well, and is unfun besides. Sprinting through the mechanic works halfway decently, but then there's not enough health to go around in larger lobbies. And carrying a tire fills your entire inventory, meaning that solo, you're forced to take the damage directly to the face while chaining between cover (if any) and health pickups. Lightning, on the other hand, is extremely fun to play around. There are timing delays between bolts, and trees act as one stack of temporary cover. With good planning and timing, you can have a blast. Or well, not have a blast, I suppose. The gaps between mechanics like these are extremely wide, unpolished, and need more time to bake. Sometimes, the map feels like it has 10 jacks or fuel cans, and exactly 1 short of the item you need to complete, especially in larger lobbies. The sense of resignation when you played well and still get overtaken by the storm, like the tornadoes, sucks. But the main setpiece of running between tornadoes spawned on the map, panicking as The Big One creeps ever closer, is great. The sound design as they rip through a house you're huddling within, the visuals as trees and debris go up in the funnel, the sparks off lightning and downed power lines, and the panic when the final countdown begins and the Big One starts to overtake the map and pull everything slowly towards it, are all extremely satisfying. So on the balance: recommended, with the proviso that it's super unpolished and you will hate the rain. But it's a unique enough experience, and just this side of better-than-friendslop, to be a good time.
Close friend got Vaporized in front of me..... As for the game It's pretty funn^^
An always online friendslop that processes your microphone data on third party servers; both of these things are unnecessary other than for telemetry scraping. Bad for privacy, awful for game preservation. The "Single-player" category is doing some heavy lifting again — there's none. Other than that, there's 1 map total, an absence of initial character customization (which is multiplied by "up to 8 players" tagline), and a bad mouse smoothing you can't turn off. Feels like tech demo. The tech itself is fine, but nothing ground-breaking, though.
Funnel runners has the potential to be great. However the need for a Dead By Daylight Quicktime event for EVERY key interaction stains the enjoyment of the game quite heavily for myself and a few friends. We've failed runs simply because you need a quick time event SEVERAL TIMES to POUR FUEL. All while the large F5 tornado begins pulling you away as it gets increasingly closer. Having a quick time event for certain interactions is fine, it can keep things engaging. But they're all the same one. - Removing wood with a crowbar? DBD event. - Changing a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fuse? DBD event. - Changing Tire? DBD event. - Using a Toolbox? DBD Event. - POURING LIQUIDS. DBD event. This game has fantastic potential. I LOVE seeing the gradual destruction of the town and the subsequent introduction AND removal of hazards from it (Power Lines eventually not being spicy as the power is gone is peak). But it being QTE hell for every key interaction is not great, Happy to change and update the review as things progress and chages are made, even if it just ends up with DIFFERENT more engaging QTE's I'd accept that.
Fun game....for like 2 rounds. Find items and bring them to the van. That's pretty much it. Can't even drive the van when you fix it! And why no ping system?? Why cant we at least see player outlines or truck outline so we don't get lost or too separated? Why is there a grid system on the doppler when the player has no map to reference and the player looking at the doppler can't even see nametags on the radar to call out a storm in a specific player's area? The funnels chase you right away from playing the game again! 6/10
Game is fun the atmosphere is nice not enough content for the price maybe need more customization and more maps.
Extremely bare bones. After one mission it gets very repetitive and boring. Join map, find parts, fix van, and that's literally it. For being a tornado game, there's almost no tornado action besides avoiding random twisters as you run around the town looking for parts. No tornado hunting or info gathering with tools or anything like that, it's only about finding van parts before the "F5" shows up (pretty much a battle royal circle, get it done in the time or you die) and that's it. Needs wayyy more to do. Refunded
