About
Every frog a bug touches does one of three things: feeds the bug to raise its value, eats it and turns that value into energy, or earns you coins.
40 frogs, five families: Garden, Predator, Court, River and Market
Garden - Gains Value
Predator - Consumes Value
Court - Empowers others
River - Modifies bug movement
Market - Earns coin
Merge them: two of a kind become a 2-star, two 2-stars become a 3-star, each star increasing value with the 3rd star adding a trait (passive bonus)
Fuse them: two different 3-star frogs fuse into one frog that does both jobs.
Plant mushroom caps: placed between the lily pads modifies the four frogs in reach, some add bites or increase value.
Bond a family: put three different species of one family on the board and its rule switches on, from an extra bite for every Predator to 20% off the shop for Market.
A run is five weeks of seven days.
Week one starts in Puddle Pond, and at the end of every week you choose the pond you move to next.
There are five other ponds and each one changes the board, the dropper, and the rules.
The Snarled Swamp covers the board in roots that move every day, and strips a lily pad for every day it holds you.
The Raging Rapids swing every falling bug sideways, and wall hits feed it.
The Gilded Marsh drops bugs three at a time and pays out coins for lily bounces.
The Ebbing Estuary floods its bottom row mid-drop, halving the frogs down there.
The Mirror Lagoon's dropper never moves, so the board does the aiming.
Clear the last day of week five and it is Mating Season.
Then the pond keeps going, into endless.
Every morning you decide the day. Each choice sets the stakes, the weather, and what waits on the way.
Shallow Water asks less and pays less. Rough Water doubles the goal and pays more than double.
Weather rules the day: Moonlight puts your best frog to sleep and pays every other frog more, Fog hides the dropper, Gusty doubles its speed, and Wildfire scorches a cap.
Markets, bug caches and coin purses sit on some routes, but not on all paths.
Take the day your build can survive.
Five hand-built boards.
Fixed frogs, a set deck of bugs, and one chance to drop.
Place the bench your way, fire the deck, and see where you land on the Steam global leaderboard.
Try again as often as you like: challenges never touch your run or your progress.
Dark water, fireflies, a lot of croaking, and a synergy roguelike underneath that wants you to find the broken pond.
Every cleared day banks Pond Knowledge, and so does scoring past the goal, and so does losing.
Spend it on 17 permanent upgrades.
49 deeds unlock new frogs, caps and relics as you play, so run twenty starts with options run one never had.
Built for Steam Deck from day one: full controller support and text you can read without leaning in.
Turn one bug, into a million croaks.
