About
Fright Train is a third-person action survival horror roguelite in which you'll explore the monster-ridden corridors of an enormous train speeding through Antarctica. Keep it running by maintaining its parts, because if the train stops, there’s no telling what abomination might emerge from the blizzard to claim you...
You play as a paranormal special agent responding to a distress signal sent from the L.R.S. Great White: a locomotive research station owned by the secretive SHARK corporation. Prepare to meet allies and encounter foes as you navigate the train's iron bowels. Monitor its condition and keep it running to avoid freezing to death or falling prey to the creatures chasing you outside! Will you be able to find the source of these horrors and put an end to them?
Scavenge the procedurally generated train for resources and unlock new cars and rooms by using the credits you gather, but don't forget to take time to prepare yourself for the waves of enemies that will appear during deadly storms! Credits will also let you purchase invaluable items at vending machines and upgrade your weapons. Get to the extraction point on top of the locomotive before the train reconfigures itself and complete small objectives to earn cosmetics!
Meaningful and tactical inventory management. Big and medium-sized items are physically displayed on the character, and the speed at which he can fetch them depends on where an item is located on the body: a magazine will be quicker to insert if it's stored on the chest rather than on the lower back!
A volatile combat ecosystem in which enemy behaviors intertwine, allowing them to support or sabotage one another. Some enemies have armor and weak points: learn how to exploit their vulnerabilities and responses to attacks!
A lived-in environment in which you'll find lore and many objects with which you can interact: vending machines for supplies, crates to kick, terminals to monitor and repair the train's parts, doors to unlock, and more!
Semi-realistic stylized graphics and characters driven by a B-movie style story.
A chilling and exciting adaptive soundtrack!

Very delightful arcade-y take on Resident Evil 4-ish gameplay...! Having a lot of fun with it so far, and it's surprisingly tough!
I loved the demo, and I love the full game even more! The combat is absolutely *pristine*, the writing and character designs are *immaculately* Resident Evil (but Furries), and you get to kick literally anything and everything for free money! GO PLAY IT

Incredibly fun. I played the demo a while ago and I couldn't wait for it to come out, and it did not disappoint!
This game slaps- I never thought fighting Silent Hill-ified Animal Crossing characters with Resident Evil controls would slap so severely but alas This game does in fact, Slap severely Honestly, well worth the $15, probably would have paid $20 for how much fun I've been having!
I played the demo mulitple times as I waited the full release, this game is that good! I love the setting and enviorment, the gameplay always has me on edge as not many games has real time inventory management while being good, it reminds me the days of ZombiU where your resource management is meaningful, what you take, drop and what slot the items goes to is importaint and if you have enough credits to open doors or close windows. And despite the game needing luck for your runs I never feel that it's the games fault cuz I'm either too slow or my bullets are in the 70% slots. Just like a good roguelite should aim for. Also this is one of the most Canadian games I've played I love it!
Imagine resident evil x dead space
spent a few hours on the game by the time of this review and the game is really fun! very interesting mechanics that are nice to learn, some that aren't shown BUT are satisfying to figure out when you do. one small gripe is how tedious the little crawling mines can be, they seem a little too fast but it might just be me, not too sure. I've had fun with this game so far and I can't wait to see what more updates there will be! multiplayer with this game would be crazy...
Fun and challenging game. I find the item management and reload mechanic in this game interesting and fresh. ( My 1st time seeing this concept like this).
