Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Aug 24 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

While this game has great nostagia and is super fun, the controls are so bad that I can<t in good conscience tell modern gamers to buy it.
This game is a janky mess that needs compatibility mode or the GOG version to function properly. At least that's what people say. I couldn't even walk anywhere or click to interact with anything. I encountered a few bugs outside of that within the first few minutes of playing the game. I walked off the map and got stuck on top of a building that I randomly appearing during the tutorial before dying and being forced to restart the entire tutorial. With the amount of games that are out there to spend time on this game is a waste. Waste of time and money. 0/10 don't recommend.

Crash-tastic! My memory of this game, of playing it off a CD, is that you could read an entire comic book waiting for a new level to load. Unfortunately that's the part of the game that has been preserved here. Bugs galore, including having actions edge off screen and characters 'dropping' through buildings making them unmovable or un-engagable. What was fun about this game originally was the campy concept and bright colors. It doesn't look right now. The bright colors and comic book dashes and dots with this early animation style doesn't scream page-turning immersive world. It's like a cheap, superficial game you'd get on a cellphone. The missions can be painfully simplistic and there isn't a sense of team building or world building. Your reward is largely your own imagination as you earn enough to unlock 'sets' of abilities or skills. If you're someone who wants the nostalgia either from the original release or from the really, really old comics, this might scratch the itch. If you have even slightly high standards informed by modern games, you'll be disappointed. The idea that something this simplistic came out in the same era as the Halo games or even the early Civilization games is a little shocking to contemplate. The people who designed it loved Patriot City and some of the 1980's kind of super villain tropes. They had fun with this, clearly, I just don't think it aged well and given the depth of both missions and conceptual design of other early 2000's games I remain shocked it was ever reviewed and ranked so highly. I guess get it if it's on sale or you're really, really curious about what people did when they weren't playing Quake back in the day.
