About

Freddy Farmer is a retro arcade style game with 16-bit pixel art graphics in the style of the 80s/90s where you can test your skills as a player.

Freddy's daughter has been kidnapped by an evil dragon that lives on top of an abandoned castle.
The only possibility to rescue her is through a magic potion that only a mysterious wizard who lives in the forest can make, but to do so, he will need to get some very specific ingredients and these in turn must be mixed in a certain order using magical cauldrons that are spread throughout the kingdom.
With the only action of jumping, Freddy must collect all these ingredients while trying to avoid all the enemies and dangers in his path until he reaches the cauldron of each of the levels having collected the ingredients in the correct order.

This game is pure arcade magic. The kind of thing you can pick up, play for five minutes, and suddenly realize an hour has passed. The pixel art is gorgeous, with that perfect retro vibe that makes everything feel straight out of an old-school arcade cabinet. The gameplay? Addictive. It starts off easy, letting you get the hang of things, but soon enough, the challenge ramps up in a way that keeps you hooked without feeling unfair. Whether you’re a casual player or a high-score chaser, there’s something here for you. And speaking of high scores—there’s a ranking system, so you can keep coming back to beat your best run (or your friends’). Oh, and did I mention? There’s also a wizard who’s a cat. ❤️

muy divertido y retro. engancha como las arcade de sala de maquinas de antes, pero la dificultad un poco elevada para alguien torpe como yo
Freddy Farmer is a delightful adventure, with bags of old-school charm that will spark joy in your arcade-going inner child.
Freddy Farmer (FF), is it a BAD harvest or a GOOD harvest ? Read on and find out! IF you've played games like Chuckie, Manic Miner more recently Donut Dodo and you enjoyed them, you`ll be right at home with FF. Forget about the silly story tbh, daughter gets kidnapped or other games have princess, girlfriend etc. they all get kidnapped in these type of games, we have heard this story a hundred times already, forget about it. You control Freddy, the gameplay is a platformer and its seriously tough, you have no way of fighting back or help of any kind, each level has a set of ingredients you need to collect, and you must collect them in the correct order or you don't make the potion, you need all of the potions to open up some levels and fight the boss. The collecting part isn't the most frustrating, although I did a couple of times collect the wrong ingredient (in the list order) and just had to carry on, enemies are frequent and sometimes chase you, as I said, you cant fight back, you can jump over them or run, that's it, this isn't a problem for the smaller enemies but larger enemies and especially enemies with weapons its ridiculous, you cant jump them and if they corner you in, that's its, life lost and often game over. I found the first couple of levels of "The Forest" world were fairly simple, from the third onwards not so much and with limited lives and a pointless continue, why Pointless ? Well it doesn't actually let you continue from the last level reached, you continue from the start of the area, this needs updating please Dev! I get the game isn't meant to be easy, I did enjoy the challenge, Normal mode though feels like a hard mode and soon frustration hits, after you mess up another potion by collecting the wrong ingredient again or dropping on an enemy, getting trapped by and enemy or even more annoying, the ladders, seriously what on earth is going, you can climb or descend, but not stop part way up, its either you go up or down and often this ended in death if I wasn't quick enough. You can choose any world to start in which is good, the later ones felt almost impossible and I struggled to beat the first level, the final level, Castle I couldn't complete one level due to big enemies you cant jump or do anything with, the arrows to which way the screen exit takes you was also confusing. Sound is OK with the usual chip tune and standard sound effects, nothing bad, nothing great here to be honest. Graphics are pixel art, very colourful and look just like the games you might remember on the 8 and 16 bit computers and consoles, this is the one thing about the game I loved, the visuals. I did have some fun with FF, but more frustration and the pointless continue and limited lives meant I didn't get very far, this is going to be more for the people with lots of patience, this isn't Mario so if you're looking for a jolly & simple platform romp, forget it, this is every bit a as tough as Donut Dodo. If I had of done a video review, I would have awarded it a GamerPauly Says... "Id play it for free" which I cant as this was purchased. If you have the patience and seriously tough retro platformers are your thing then check it out, for everyone else leave it alone or at least check out the demo first. Funny and colorful old-school indie platform game with a twist. Hard and rewarding, like the old arcades from the '80s. A must have if this is your kind of game.
