Runs like rubbish, which surprised me as never had that issue with their Baseball manager games. Needs further work to have a fun game.
Game crashed too much, never had the immerse, seamless play of any OOTP Baseball game. Skip it.
When the game works it is awesome. I really do have a great time playing this game and I don't mind the "ridiculous" trades. But every 3-5 hours the game just falls apart and crashes. I've been on winning streaks only for the game to crash and I have to do the whole month over again. It's just so damn frustrating. It's hard to say if this game is worth the purchase. It is awesome when it works but it just fails too much. I'll reccomend it because if you are a big hockey fan you'll still love it, just know what you're getting into. I'd reccomend waiting for a discount.

I love hockey manager games and yes I enjoy playing franchise hockey manager games too. I just can't recommend the game serie which makes same mistakes year after year. Full of mood killing bugs
super
FHM 3, the first version officially licensed by the NHL, and is the most “pure hockey sim” in the series. i.e. Star players' individual attributes override system inefficiencies, team structure matters far less than who’s on the ice, and management complexity is low. The core game loop is to hire and fire people, assign players to the games, sign expensive players to your team, tweak training, manage your finances, improve game results and meet hockey team owner's expectation. According to ChatGPT (I haven't fact checked it, just started the game as a newbie), you can win a Cup in FHM 3 with - an average defensive system, weak checking lines, and minimal tactical tuning. As long as you have: 2 elite forwards, 1 top defenseman, a strong goalie - let the stars carry the whole team. So trade early and get below attributes for your team: Elite forwards Offensive Read ⭐⭐⭐⭐+ Shooting or Passing ⭐⭐⭐⭐+ Top defenseman Positioning ⭐⭐⭐⭐+ Passing ⭐⭐⭐⭐+ Stickchecking ⭐⭐⭐+ Strong goalie Anticipation ⭐⭐⭐⭐+ Positioning ⭐⭐⭐⭐+ Year 1–2 Cup Team build Forwards 1 elite sniper (trade) 1 elite playmaker (draft or trade) 2 strong middle-six mentals-first forwards Defense 1 top-pair puck mover 1 smart shutdown partner Goalie 1 mentally elite starter Cheap backup This wins Cups in FHM 3 even with average tactics. What you can safely ignore (mostly) in FHM 3 - Deep line chemistry optimization - Hyper-specific tactical sliders - Perfect bottom-six balance - Locker-room personality conflicts These become critical in FHM 6+. Early FHMs reward hockey IQ and star power Mid FHMs reward systems, chemistry, and cap management Latest FHMs reward patience, planning, and development discipline If you are unsure if you should buy this game, make sure to Google this: Out of the Park Developments Online Manuals FHM 3 and you'll have a good picture of this software / sim. Less than 1 GB, drop 7 out of 15 trading cards, has point shops but no cute items, no devs updates on FHM 3 since 2017. Only 5 out of the 49 achievements unlocked by >10% players, majority of the achievements have less than 1% players unlocked those. No available achievement guides. With a bunch of 0.1% - 0.2% achievements, made my wonder is it even possible to 100% this game-_- or those achievements were newly added and nobody is playing the game...hmm not sure. Maybe I can try to unlock some achievements? Let's go~

It looks like fun if it didn't crash every ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Minute, when I want to be a GM I do not want continue Rejoining FIX THE ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ CRASHING!
It is a fun game, however there is no soundtrack at all that is the only flaw i have found aside from the fact the ui was a little hard to learn at first but once you get it, it makes total sense. However the game has some bugs that cause crashes douring the offseason and I cannot generate a fantasy game, it just crashes. Other than that it is a fun game, just beware of crashes 8/10 would recromend to a friend
Bought this on a whim as it was in the Steam sale. I'm a big fan of hockey but I've never played any management sim before. I was a bit lost to begin with as the game assumes you already know what you're doing, but after watching a few YouTube tutorials I had it mostly figured out. Once I knew what I was doing it was tons of fun. I've only ever played Fantasy Hockey so getting to jump in with a minor league team and build them up was a lot of fun. I'm still early on in my GM career but thoroughly loving it.
