Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Aug 18 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
Barely OK Tower Defence Game with bad DLCs
What this game is: A Tower Defense game that is very easy and works without a hitch. How does it work? You have to defend your naval base from hordes of invading ships and balloons. You play through 120 setups in three zones, each zone has 20 on each of three difficulty levels: Easy, Normal, and Hard. You will use various towers to defend your base: quick but weak crossbow towers, bigger and slower guns towers, and then artillety/missile towers. Each type can be upgraded to differents capabilities that you acquire through playing. Killing enemy ships or balloons provides money used to buy towers or upgrade them, booster towers start as simple money making towers and each upgrade improves the money making capacity, last one boosts nearby towers. Each setup win provides a number of stars that measure your winning level. You get spells that will help your defense with a variety of effects. How does it perform? It works OK without glitch as far as I could ascertain. There are no bugs I could see, everything works as it should. The entertainment value is OK, if you are looking for a time killer, then this game will provide it. The gameplay is basic though, and repetitive. The good points: It is a simple game. It has Achievements, all of which are easy. It also has Steam Trading Cards. The game is not demanding in resources as it takes less than 120 MBs on your HD, and will run on a 10 years old PC. You can expect between 7 to 11 hours of play, depending on your style of play. The bad points: The game is Ok, but becomes quickly repetitive. The game is quite too easy, the «hard» level is barely challenging at all. In order to complete the Achievements, you will need to grind in order to accumulate enough points in order to upgrade in the last two achievements. My take on this: If you like tower defense games, and are looking for a time killer, you might find this one OK. That is why I am not giving a negative review here. If you want a serious and fun tower game, there are many out there on Steam that are way better than this one. Mostly for Achievements and Steam Trading Card hunters. Buy when seriously discounted, not a full price as it is WAY OVERPRICED for what it is. Avoid the buggy DLCs.

It's not a bad game. Just need a little balance and an almanac for things. DLCs are bad. Bad balance and bugs in the discussions, there is some solution. The best with a big discount.
Low effort TD that doesnt do anything new or descent.
Viel zu schwer!!!! Ich habe das Spiel schon mal gespielt, da war es auch schon schwer, aber schaffbar! Ich komme zwar zu den Updates, diese sind aber (meiner Meinung nach) fehlerhaft!!!
Great game
Fort Defense is a simple tower defense game with little player choice, challenge or variety in any form outside of the artificial.
The Campaign is the only content available with two locations in the base game; The Caribbean Sea & Arctic Ocean. The levels within the two locations are restricted to their predetermined round limits and there is no form of endless play. There are 20 levels per location for you to experience but there are only 5 unique maps that are reused ad nauseam. This tediousness is amplified by the game offering no enemy unit pathing information and thus enforcing a fail to learn playstyle. Fort Defense's difficulty [Easy, Medium & Hard] also contributes to the tedium by offering little to no change in units, towers, abilities or challenge with identical levels across the difficulties. That's not to mention the tutorial pop ups appearing in the exact same locations as lower difficulties without change. If there is any difficulty adjustment it's either absurd with an increase to unit population or purely artificial linked to the shop & the hollow and grindy upgrade system. If you attempt to play the Arctic Ocean Campaign, it is built upon artificial difficulty scaling in that it is near mandatory to have upgraded a significant amount of your arsenal (through hours of play) in order to complete any of its 20 levels & even then you'll have to put up with awful level design, absurd unit population, hidden unit paths and a complete lack of player choice when it comes to using towers. Outside of the Arctic Ocean Campaign's aforementioned issues, While most towers have function in that they are mandatory for specific levels, the Rocket Tower & its upgrade the Rocket Machine Tower is overpowered in that it can do the job of every other tower outside of economy & deal with any threat on the board once you can place more than one. Its group power cannot be replicated with other towers or their upgrades. Fort Defense also has limited Settings. You cannot change the resolution of the screen and are locked to either full screen or an unscaleable windowed mode. To say the music is frustrating would be underselling it, the soundtrack (if you can call it that) consists of the same "dun dun dun dun daaaa" looped every 20 seconds or so. I was genuinely surprised to see Steam selling a Soundtrack for the game at $1.50AUD because there's only one track. Thankfully there are two volume sliders one for effects and the other for Music. I highly recommend listening to your own music or other media.
Conclusion
Fort Defense is available for $13.19AUD outside of sales and that price is ridiculous given the content, forced progression, quality assurance (DLC's) & all round repetitiveness but at its discounted price of $2.63, Fort Defense can be worth checking out if you want a break from the functional & consistent staples of the genre.
Fort Defense, developed by Creobit and published by 8Floor, is a pirate-themed tower defense game that takes a familiar genre formula and enhances it with a colorful maritime setting. Instead of defending kingdoms from dragons or futuristic cities from alien invasions, players are tasked with protecting coastal strongholds from relentless waves of pirates, raiders, and powerful sea-borne enemies. The game embraces its nautical identity from the beginning, creating an adventure that feels distinct even when its core mechanics remain rooted in traditional tower defense design. The gameplay revolves around constructing defensive towers, collecting resources, and preventing enemy forces from reaching and destroying your fortress. Each level presents a carefully designed battlefield where strategic placement is essential. Success depends not only on building strong defenses but also on understanding enemy routes, anticipating threats, and making efficient use of limited resources. As new enemy types are introduced, players must constantly adjust their tactics rather than relying on a single solution for every challenge. One of the game's most appealing qualities is the variety of defensive options available. Multiple tower types allow players to experiment with different combinations and strategies. Some towers excel at dealing heavy damage, while others are better suited for slowing enemies or supporting nearby defenses. This variety gives battles a satisfying tactical element, as choosing the right tower placement can often determine whether a mission ends in victory or defeat. The gradual introduction of new defenses ensures that the gameplay continues to evolve throughout the campaign. Magic abilities add another layer of strategy beyond simple tower construction. Powerful spells can be used to eliminate large groups of enemies, weaken powerful attackers, or provide emergency support when defensive lines begin to crumble. These abilities prevent battles from becoming overly passive and encourage active participation throughout each mission. Deciding when to save spells and when to unleash them becomes a crucial part of mastering the game, especially during later stages where enemy waves become increasingly dangerous. The campaign offers a substantial amount of content, featuring dozens of levels that gradually increase in complexity and difficulty. New environments, stronger opponents, and larger enemy assaults help maintain a sense of progression. Boss encounters serve as particularly memorable moments, testing every aspect of a player's defensive planning. These larger enemies require more than brute force to defeat and often force players to make full use of both towers and magical abilities. As a result, the campaign avoids becoming repetitive despite its straightforward foundation. Visually, Fort Defense succeeds in creating an inviting and vibrant world. The bright coastal environments, pirate ships, tropical scenery, and animated battlefields contribute to a strong atmosphere. While the graphics are not technically groundbreaking, they effectively support the game's theme and make each battlefield easy to read. Players can quickly identify enemy movements, tower positions, and important tactical information without visual clutter interfering with gameplay. The audio presentation complements the pirate setting reasonably well. Sound effects provide satisfying feedback during combat, while the music helps reinforce the adventurous tone of the experience. Although the soundtrack may not be particularly memorable after completing the game, it performs its role effectively by maintaining energy during intense battles and helping immerse players in the world. Where Fort Defense falls slightly short is in innovation. Many of its mechanics will feel immediately familiar to longtime fans of tower defense games. It does not attempt to radically redefine the genre or introduce revolutionary systems. Some missions can also feel formulaic, especially for players who have extensive experience with similar titles. However, the game compensates for this lack of originality with solid execution, a charming theme, and a steady stream of strategic challenges. What ultimately makes Fort Defense enjoyable is its balance between accessibility and tactical depth. Newcomers can quickly understand the fundamentals, while experienced players can optimize tower combinations, spell usage, and upgrade paths to achieve better results. The progression system, which allows players to strengthen their capabilities over time, adds an extra incentive to continue pushing through increasingly difficult encounters. Fort Defense may not stand among the most groundbreaking tower defense games ever created, but it delivers a polished and entertaining experience built around a distinctive pirate theme. Its combination of strategic planning, varied defenses, magical powers, and lengthy campaign provides plenty of value for fans of the genre. Players looking for a colorful and engaging tower defense adventure will find a game that understands the strengths of its formula and executes them with confidence. Fort Defense offers an enjoyable blend of pirate-themed action and strategic tower defense gameplay, delivering a substantial campaign and satisfying tactical depth even if it rarely ventures beyond established genre conventions. Rating: 7/10
Ok tower defense game, nice looking, can be a bit grindy but it's not that bad. Easy achievements. Definitely worth those 0,49€ I paid for it.
