Forge of Empires: Build a City

Favorite Game I have two cities going. One on phone and one on my tablet.

Terrible server lag Worked fine for years and is a great demand. However, it appears they don’t know how to address increased players on at the same time. They blame it on “browser issues” basically just throwing it back at the user complaining saying it’s not their fault. I think they should hire some people that know what they are doing to run the servers. Or at least consult someone that knows about these issues

C. Forge of Empires I have enjoyed playing Forge of Empires for several years and still do. I did have an issue with the game recently, but I think this had more to do with my new (less powerful) wifi than the game. Using cellular data has seemed to resolve the issue. I really like the many game aspects and challenges (GBG; GE; QI; Event Buildings) and I enjoy working with a guild as part of a team. Great historical backgrounds and cool Great Buildings too. Can play this game for hours. It is addictive, but well worth it. Highly Recommend. July 10, 2026 Adding to my original review. Recently was experiencing some access issues on my game through the iPhone app, but tech support was able to help me resolve the issues. Most helpful. Always can access through my PC, but don’t usually play that way. At any rate, FoE is playing as good as ever, which is really great! Thank you FoE for the help, and for creating such a great game!

Notifications The app lately has a lot of glitches and malfunctions, but the worse is not receiving notifications. It has been very intermittent for several months and has now reached to where there is no notification of any kind. I honestly cannot consider spending any money on this game with the multitude errors. I can’t even seem to get the representatives to understand the problems without them just giving excuses.

Very good game Very fun and if you are member of a guild you can grow faster

Makers have favorites Used to be a decent game until recently now they let a guy PVfe say raciest stuff along with gay stuff and will not do anything but if roles was reversed they told me I’d be kicked from game so goes to show how favoritism works in game now plus they want you to pay for everything to get somewhere and it’s fixing to get worse with the Great Buildings. This game now deserves no stars for all the hard work years I’ve done.

Could use less click farming in GBG Played for 3+ yrs, currently have 3 cities, my major complaint is how much click farming you need to undergo to fully play GBG - it's annoying to have to have to manually repeat the steps for all required individual fights with no option to automate - gaming should strain / engage your brains and not cause repetitive strain injury. I would love a slider to (say) reinforce/atk1/atk2 X times (X= 0-10 times?) so you could play conquer a 164 territory in 16 steps rather than 164 x 3 =492 steps.

To much games in one To much games inside the FOE, every time they are creating more and more stationary games and it to much!

Played an hour and deleted Liked the idea of building a city and moving through eras until I find the one tile that mentions “guilds invade and conquer other guilds.” I quit a MMO after playing it for 6 years due to bullying, overpowered alliances and poorly managed interactions by devs. I chose to get out and not endure that again.

Expensive Game to Play FOE is an entertaining game to play but, if you’re going to get anywhere in this game, it’s going to cost you several hundreds of dollars in the long run. All of the games algorithms seem to be designed to separate a player from all of his assets as quickly as possible. There are also many many glitches in the software which always seem to deny or short a player from achieving the most from their hard earned play. If you are a retired individual on a fixed income or a young person who should be building a 401K for your future retirement in my opinion, this game isn’t for you. These are strictly my opinion and I’m telling you as I see it but, I’m trying to be as honest and helpful as I can be to new or prospective players. I do play and I have been for a while now and yes, I’ve spent a lot of money. In good conscience I can “NOT” recommend this game.
