Reviews
Bought this game when it was still in early access. It was addicting back then, moving forward close to the 1.0 release, they added a lot of new features. Nobody asked for the suit printer, we were fine crafting everything in the fabricator, it felt immersive waiting for the item to fabricate. Now you just press a button and here you go. Nobody asked for bloom walls and other building items, but they still added them to please the 5% that want pretty airships. Then came resource machines that require you to land at every station in hopes of finding the recipe, which is just lazy coding, keeping you playing the game as you want the items. As i was still in the games discord, one out of 10 people asked for more combat, and ofc the devs were all hyped that 20 people want more combat. Obviously they added more enemies that pushed away people that wanted to relax by playing the game and not shoot a bug with 10 crossbow shots. One of the last updates they added bots to stations, further pleasing the 5%. I come to the game every 3-4 months and everytime there are new bugs that plague it. Devs, stop pleasing the 5% with crap content and work on the game. Yes i remember the coop closed tests, it was appauling you released it in that state after months of development. I downloaded the game a couple of days ago to check on things as there was a bunch of new content, but they added electricity that bogs you down even more than just the weight limitations of the airship. Great content, lets keep you playing longer to get everything working so you can enjoy the game and relax. Also the bug with the mouse not working after a while is back again, this one came out in early access, seems devs have someone that likes to unbury old "fixed" bugs. I uninstalled and will probably never return. I already finished the story twice anyway. And yes, the story is about 4-5h. Worth the 29€? Id say more like 10€ since u have to grind, always look at your food and water, avoid bots, look at the weight and electricity, spend insane resources on knives that last for 20 hits (about 100 before the update). The game feels like a chore, constantly being worried what is going to go wrong. Yes, the review is negative, how couldn't it be?

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 28: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

During EA, the game lacked content but, the rhythm of discoveries was quite good. Then, they added highly repetitive places to visit which has diluted the game pace making the game boring. I hoped a year of patch would give them time to add more content with more interesting stuff to do. It ended up diluting even more my early days appreciation. A shame since it started which strong promises.
So, this is my first negative review. I know that it is not that big of a deal, but for me, it is. I tend to be very positive when it comes to the games I purchase because I usually know what I like and what I don't like. In this case, the game has a really, really cool concept behind it, but there are a couple of major flaws that I just cannot stand. First, there is this "loneliness" feeling that is really addictive. You are alone in the world, and everything around makes sure to remind you of that. In this game, you have to EARN your survival. You need to plan for when you are hungry, thirsty, or sleepy. If not, you will die. I LOVED how the world looks and feels. The skies and how the environment changes from zone to zone are honestly pretty cool and immersive. While not impressive, the game also has a background story that keeps you engaged and actually encourages you to keep exploring. It is fine, I guess. I also really like the concept of the "mobile base". You have this ship that you can fully customize to your liking, and there are many upgrades that will be unlocked as you progress, which honestly feels extremely rewarding, since just surviving is challenging and requires a ton of work. I played in Hard mode, so keep that in mind. Now on the negative side. As I said, there are only a couple of things that really bothered me throughout my playthrough. First of all, the locations. The locations in this game felt extremely unpolished. There were times when I was really having a good time exploring and building my ship, and then finding an immersion-breaking interest point. This is because everything feels so unpolished and clunky. For example, pillars were literally broken in half and floating in the air, or the buildings looked like they were put up in 20 minutes without care about structural integrity or basic common sense. The second thing that really bothered me is that the sporadic notepads you find are duplicated or make no sense at all. In one case, I literally found a notepad that was supposed to be emotional two times in completely different places. These were also not correctly translated in some cases. In summary, I just can't recommend this game until they fix these details, especially when there are other games out there with better attention to detail. I really hope that they fix these things so that I can come back to it and finish my playthrough.
Forever Skies was better in early access. Lockers, Wall Cabinets and Drawers became almost useless, cause most of the time there isn't anything in it. The Automats you fight in the different locations are a nuissance for one with a slow Bolt-action crossbow. Also the over and over descending capsules. Chores became the most dominating part of the game. Nothing seems finished or balanced. Everything seems to be in it just for keeping you busy over and over again and stretch the thin propagandistic story, which consists almost only of sicknesses and genetic stuff. From promissing to bad.
Once you get to your second, third, forth location and find that its the same building, same cabinet, same layout (only this time with a annoying robot you basically one shot push - you feel this game was put together on a weekend and forgot about.
Apparently last big update broke the game, stay away until devs fix it
tfor the amount of graphics the game isnt very well optimized and thats why i cant recomend it
