You've been hired by an outfit known as SMS Group to retrieve an artifact lost somewhere inside the abandoned Folcroft Monastery. Locals say the place is haunted by restless spirits, but the pay was too good to pass up. You asked little questions. Find the artifact requested and get out alive.

This game was legitimately one of the best jump scare games Ive ever played. Kudos to the dev for creating this https://youtu.be/alPo9rUA0NA?si=SeOwHS6xzpPFufFJ
Loved it! Gave some really good jumpscares and overall a decent game. Looks great and loved exploring the area! Gameplay here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H5VPy-NjyRI
Defiantly a fun game. The game play was simple and straight forward. The atmosphere was creepy but enjoyable. The jump scares were scary and timely. This game defiantly made me jump a few times. The story was easy to follow and was very pleasing to uncover. For a first game this was it. The game was completed in about an hour and a half which was perfect and sweet. My only gripe was not being able to pick up key items before initiating the event. Otherwise the game was a pleasure and I wish it had more chapters!

A quick horror experience with fairly straightforward puzzles and effective jumpscares. The atmosphere is well done and does a solid job setting the mood. It’s not anything groundbreaking, but it’s enjoyable for what it is. My main issue is that I never really felt in danger, like it felt like I could get a bit too close to enemies without consequence. Because of how short it is, I’d recommend waiting for a sale.
https://youtu.be/UWuL5EnhJy8 The game looked and felt amazing. Its worth the playthrough. The sounds and ambience are crazy. The only negative for me was the jumpscares started to be to frequent, and quite early on I could determine when the jumpscares would occur. not gonna say how, I don't want to spoil. But all in all the game was very well put together and optimised to perfection.
Folcroft Monastery is a fresh and immersive step into a dark and eerie world that left me wanting more! As someone who appreciates great sound design, I have to say Black Knife Games absolutely nailed it. The atmosphere was chilling, and every moment kept me on edge in the best way possible. The puzzles were clever and well thought out—challenging but never frustrating as long as you paid attention to your surroundings. The jump scares were effective and used sparingly, which made them feel impactful rather than overdone. The pacing of the story was spot-on, and the writing felt intentional and cohesive. It’s clear the developer put a lot of thought into crafting a narrative that made sense while keeping the tension high. If you’re a fan of atmospheric horror games with smart puzzles and a gripping story, Folcroft Monastery is a must-play! Highly recommended!
Yet another "Penny Dreadful" game - because it's price is less than a cup of good coffee, and because it's dreadful - but this time, in the good sense of the word. While i have to admit that Folcroft Monastery is suffering from most of the common problems shared between these small horror games done by a single person (sound volume settings are not working, no running, no game saving, poor optimization, etc), this one is at least funny and, at least once or twice - really scary. So i will my "recommended" review and i do hope that Black Knife Games will create second game - and it will be a bit better than this one.
An interesting story that we'll hopefully be seeing a continuation of soon ^.^ love the mixing of both physical and metaphysical threats, the cheeky ghost and that I'm an idiot that looked over a door for like 15 min lmao. Covered as game 1 in " 4 Scary games Episode 30" https://youtu.be/0UcC9ULNLO8?si=VyF7pjHupTt9c3DW
