About
FLOPPY SURVIVORS is a bullet-heaven action roguelite starring a tiny disk that only wants to survive—and has no idea why the network wants it erased. Grow auto-firing antivirus programs, finish recovery jobs inside a storm of malware, and fuse pairs into DUAL weapons.
Delete the first boss and a missing signal returns. Someone hid this little disk for a reason, and now the network wants DISK #47 erased. What is it carrying?

Main Recovery has three acts. Each one changes the objective, enemy mix, and attack patterns.
Every completed field job grants an immediate upgrade and a run-long bonus while visibly restoring the battlefield. Clear SURVIVE to open CHASE, then clear CHASE to open REMEMBER. Each Main Recovery run ends after 10 bosses and a 60-second FINAL DEFRAG.

Raise two different programs to Lv5 and fuse them into a DUAL. With only five active slots, every build has a tradeoff: which programs deserve Lv5, and when should a fusion free a slot? You can see the ingredients, but the name and effect stay hidden until you craft it. Each first discovery is saved permanently in DUAL.DAT.

Deleting a boss cracks open its cache at any threat. Choose 1 of 3 POWER DRIVERs, then take two skill upgrades on the spot. Customize your build while the run is still moving:
Threat changes the pressure inside an act. It does not replace story progress. Learn the system on STABLE, or go straight to OVERCLOCKED. Clear a higher threat first and every lower first-clear reward unlocks with it. Each reward adds 2% damage to future boots, so an OVERCLOCKED clear grants the full 6%.

One-Life Trial offers three contracts. STANDARD keeps the regular rules. HALF-DUPLEX only lets you damage enemies to Floppy's right, but adds 30% damage and 2 pierce. MOVING WINDOW keeps Floppy inside a box that crosses the arena and grants one upgrade every 75 deletions. The best eight scores stay on the local board.
Levels and equipment reset when a boot ends. First discoveries stay: 12 system files, 36 DUAL records, and 4 restored sectors remain in RECOVERY.DIR. Every two records add max HP to future boots, while six boot disks and new operations unlock new starting builds. Story progress follows SURVIVE, CHASE, and REMEMBER, separate from the threat selector. Restore 10 INTERCEPT signals in each act, then recover all 52 records to verify MASTER.IMG and reveal LAST BOOT. The ending is not a paragraph in a menu. It is one last boot you execute yourself.
Boss Gauntlet and Build Lab let you practice outside Main Recovery. Continue straight into ENDLESS after Main Recovery. ENDLESS.LOG auto-saves extension time, deletions, and recovered data every 30 seconds. When you are ready to stop, retire safely from the pause menu and review WRITE VERIFIED plus your personal bests on the result screen.
The shipping Windows executable, including the complete game and all 15 code-synth tracks, is smaller than the capacity of one 1.44 MB floppy. Visuals, effects, and music are generated at runtime from code and compact data tables instead of large media files. Each track keeps the same composed motifs and foundation. The arrangement changes with Floppy's current integrity, enemy and projectile counts, hazards, corruption, and brief moments of relief.
