Floppy Knights

I really like this mixed concept of deck builder, turn-based battle game which is essentially a puzzle with the RNG added through dealing the hands. It has levels so you can just try with a different deck if you fail. It is really so much better than rougelikes with permadeath and starting over. However, there are some issues. You need to know one major thing to enjoy this game. There are two groups of special levels: one called Challenge Levels which have fixed decks and reward you with coins to buy more cards for the main quest, and Side Quests which also reward you with unique cards. The issue is: those cards are only usable in the main quest. So if you really want to enjoy the full deck selection while playing the game, you must prioritise Challenges and Side Quests as long as you unlock new ones after completing a main story chapter. If you complete the main quest first, you will no longer have levels with custom deck left to play so the new cards will be useless. Also, there are some annoying challenges where you know after 1-3 turns that you won't make it with the starting hand you got and you need to opening hand-scum to get through them, but I think it was just 3 of them. Overall: not perfect but I enjoyed 100% the game. It simply could have more levels to play once we have the full deck, but otherwise it's quite fun. Also, I really like the art and story - it's refreshing compared to most other games in similar genres with its more light-hearted approach. It really sets the mood for having fun with the game.
