Fleet Defender: The F-14 Tomcat Simulation

i got this game after watching top gun because i forgot dcs existed

How do I get this to work with the steam controller...I cannot get it to work.

Not a bad sim, but a lot of people are gonna be in for a surprise with how difficult this game actually is. Learning the controls will take a good while, which isn't made any better by the fact that the manual is wrong in quite a few places.

This game is attempting to access my microphone multiple times per minute almost every day. I dont have the game installed by the way...

Its a classic but Jet fighter 3 and USNF gold I think were better. So is f19

Graphics are not as good as the first Nintendo game.

I think one of the most popular planes on DCS is the F-14. If you're poor and either don't have a PC good enough for DCS or simply don't own the F-14 itself you can get this older game for 6.99 dollars! Wow thats a lot! Another game I got from a bundle along with other old Microprose simulators. So is it good? Well yes! Its not as good as the B-17 The Might 8th simply because that one is much more modern so its easiler to get into but its not as bad as the F-117 and F-19 games because those are impossible to get into due to how old they are. In here in the campaings you need to take off which is an immediate issue because I still do not know how to get the engines going. Fortunately that does not stop you from playing the game. You can do some quick missions by choosing the enemy plane and just fighting against them you can choose what altitude both of you start in so you never need to take off. There are some training missions too which start you in the air and make you fight against both friendly and enemy planes in either 1v1 or 1v2 settings. There is some actual campaings but like I said I didn't play them cuz I have no clue what buttons are for throttle and obviously I can't take off if I don't know that so I can never do the missions. +The cockpit looks really nice. +The buttons seem to be a bit easier compared to the F-117 and F-19 games. Shooting your guns and shooting missiles is very easy. If I'm noting this down as a positive point in the review you can guess just how little I played lol. +Thankfully unlike F-117 and F-19 in certain missions you can start in the air with your engines already on. I have no clue if they're at 100% power or not but they work. Good luck figuring out how to start your engines and raise/lower power. -Very old, hard to get into but thankfully not as hard as F-117 or F-19. Still harder then B-17 The Mighty 8th. Once you do get it working its fun. See in the previous two games you didn't really have any options. In which game have you ever seen a stealth fighter called F-19? Or in which game did you ever get to use an F-117? Not a lot I bet. But an F-14? You got DCS if you want a simulator experience and you got War Thunder if you want a less realistic experience. I'm giving this a thumbs up cuz I just really like old games but that doesn't mean you should buy it. Go for something modern instead.
