♥♥♥♥ GAME
wtf is this freemium ♥♥♥♥?! I wanted to do some funny coop/battle fishing with a friend. First you get baited to grind for 60mins, because you need to be lvl5 to host/play multiplayer/coop, and then you find out that there are only 3 fishing spots you can use in coop which are all lvl80+ and cost like 25k in game money, which means you have to grind for another like 10 hours or just spend IRL money because you are so frustrated. and obviously the whole game is plastered with hostile UI and ingame shop popups. I am pretty sure all those positive reviews are either from people who completly lost any control over their bank account or maybe you get at one point some ingame incentives to leave a good review.
This game is very well made and a fun fishing sim, but... I downloaded to play with my friends and its almost impossible even though they advertise co op. It says multiplayer is unlocked at level 5 but actually it just says that to make u play to level 5. You then find out you need to be level 85 minimum (both players) to play co op. OR you can spend a THOUSAND dollars to unlock off the bat. Seriously? $1,000? this pissed me off and I'm deleting the game. If they would just make multiplayer free off the bat this game would do numbers and be so much fun and I would definitely end up buying stuff for it, but a literal $1,000 dollars is ridiculous. I hope a developer sees this and realizes how insane it is. Do not download if you want any type of multiplayer experience.
Игра неплохая. Зашел, закинул, вытащил, продал, вышел из игры, высший пилотаж
Denuvo on an 11 year old game. Nuff said.
i have downloaded this game in 2020 on my trusty PS4. i thought that i would start again on my pc. the game is awesome at the start. the fish give good xp and money and you can level up freely. This sadly doesnt last long. the grind in the mid-game is awfully boring. Catching either ENDLESS pike or sturgeon. Leveling up is awfull and the game is boring. Always catching the same fish over and over, just waiting till the fish "respawn".It feels more than a grind than a relaxing fishing game you play after work or school. and also the pop up DLCs are awfull :)
Great fishing game
Good fishing. The game company is greedy. To go fishing on a boat with your friends, you both have to pay 20$ and it only lasts for 7 days. The boat you can rent with in game money doesn't have working depth finder. if you want one that does its 60$. If you want everything on here you will be paying 20,000$. The good rods cost hundreds. With how long it takes to level up it would be years of dedication to get to the ocean for free. Boat problems. To get a boat with a rod holder, pay 20$ or more. Depending on the boat depends on what rods you can put in rod holders. (Can place casting rod but not bottom rods) vice versa. So you cant multipurpose the boats you pay for. Cant take friends on your fresh water boats. You are limited to what boats you can take where. Final... No fun unless you have a few hundred to through into a fishing game. Tips. When you pay for the ocean grind it until you get to the level to get back for free.
Wanted to play a fun game to fish for when I can't go out and actually fish. This game is not it. Everything is locked behind levels and everything costs so much money like going places, it may be realistic but it's not a good realistic. It also feels like a lot of cool stuff to get is locked behind dlcs
I have been a customer of Fishing Planet since 2017. I have approximately 800+ hours in the game and own approximately 40 of their DLC packages. I have invested a substantial amount of my own money into this game over the years because I genuinely enjoyed playing it and supporting the developers. That is why the way these issues have been handled is extremely frustrating. When problems occur because of game bugs, server issues, or other problems within the developer's control, I have repeatedly been told that they are not responsible for the resulting loss of items or value. Instead of receiving a reasonable resolution, I have experienced repeated arguments, changing explanations, and what I believe are attempts to shift responsibility back onto the customer. One example involves in-game currency and account security. Even when a player is using a platform that the game requires or encourages them to link to their account, the position presented to customers can effectively become that any resulting loss is solely the customer's responsibility. I believe Steam should review the applicable policies and the representations made to customers in these circumstances. Another major concern is the amount of money required for some DLC. A DLC package can cost approximately $60, yet the associated content can be affected by significant bugs. For example, I have experienced issues involving boats behaving abnormally and equipment being lost or affected as a result of game problems. When customers lose something they paid real money for because of a game defect, I believe there should be a reasonable process for correcting that loss. My concern is not that Fishing Planet is a free-to-play game. I understand that developers need to make money. My concern is paying real money for DLC and other content and then being told that the developer is not responsible when technical problems prevent the customer from properly receiving or using what they purchased. After years of supporting this game and purchasing approximately 40 DLC packages, I expected significantly better treatment when these problems occurred. At this point, I am asking Steam to independently review my purchase history, the DLC I purchased, the evidence I have collected, and my communications with Fishing Planet support. I am not asking Steam to simply take my word for everything. I am asking that the evidence be reviewed and that Steam determine whether the products and services I paid for were properly provided and whether the developer's handling of these issues complies with the applicable policies. I can provide screenshots, support conversations, purchase records, and other documentation supporting my complaint. Thank you for taking the time to review this matter.
