This is unironically everything I want in a game. That real "Someone made this because they wanted to make this" vibe. Also I like the cats.
Nunca jamas habia probado un juego de pesca que mezcla una narrativa tan dinamica y un gameplay tan inmerso que me haga cuestionar sobre el goty de 2025. 100% gatomendado

The single best birthday gift I could've ever gotten. 10/10 fishing experience
GLAUCUS FISHING REVIEWS "Fishing at the Lake Full of Cats" ---FISHING MINIGAME--- Nothing special here, the minigame consists of casting and repeatedly clicking your LMB until a fish is caught. The audio compliments it though, making you feel like you're hitting a combo in a skateboarding game. There are a few moments where you have to think creatively about how you use your fishing rod, which was a fun twist, 6/10 ---VARIETY OF FISH--- The variety of fish is pretty small, but very unique between each one. Given the size of the game itself I feel like this takes priority over having sheer number of fishable cats, 7/10 ---GAME LOOP--- The progression in this game is very linear and predictable and admittedly got a bit stale towards the later portion of the second half, the humorous nature of the game and the music helped deal with keeping me engaged though, 3/10 ---MUSIC--- The music is very reminiscent of animal crossing with a twist of meme cat culture. very cozy while also having enough energy and funny bits to give an energetic feeling to an otherwise simplistic game loop, 7/10 ---ATMOSPHERE--- It is very goofy and self aware, the models and textures are simple but creative in a way that make you look twice and have a good laugh, 9/10 ---GRAPHICS--- The graphics are understandably lackluster with most textures being photos of greenery and cats edited to fit the games ideas, would be more critical of this but the low poly textures and pixelated pictures give a charm that fits the self aware vibe, 6/10 ---FUN FACTOR--- Very fun and feels like you are being included in this group of friends that made a game to show off their goofy cats, 8/10 ---UNIQUE ASPECT--- The game is very unique, using the developers own cats to make their own meme-styled ecosystem. I cant say the fishing loop is as unique though as it is your standard catch-document style fishing game, the originality of humor adds a lot to the game loop though, 7/10 ---STORY--- There aren't many story aspects since this is just a short game to have a fun time with, but a nice twist happens at some point to keep you on your toes, NO RATING ---REPLAYABILITY--- The game loop is simplistic enough to progress in a fun way the first time through, but I could see it being stale on subsequent playthroughs. Though The game itself is short and pleasant enough that I wouldn't mind doing another run or two when I feel like fishing up goofy cats in my spare time, 5/10 ---UI/HUD--- The UI is clunky and a bit in the way honestly, it does fit the vibe for what they were going for with it being self aware and all but I did find it being a bit of an eyesore later into the game, 3/10 ---COMMUNITY/MULTIPLAYER--- There is no multiplayer but it I'm sure the community members are a bunch of silly billies I wouldn't mind sharing a pier with, NO RATING ---BEGINNER FRIENDLY--- The game is very newcomer friendly needing you only to press the LMB and a little creative thinking to find the cats you need, I'm sure your granny could have just as much fun fishing up silly little cats as I did, 10/10 !!!ANGLERS APPROVAL!!! -> *YES* Although the actual fishing minigame is a bit simple, The silly twist on my favorite hobby felt like it was just the little fishing pick me up I needed. Having a bait shop, boat to ride on, and more importantly the need to think creatively about where to fish kept my inner fisherman engaged the whole time. The love for fishing was very obviously imbued with this games creation, albeit with a little bit of meme influence and creative liberty. ---PERSONAL OPINION--- Fishing at the Lake Full of Cats is a fun little experience that will make you laugh like you're looking at cat memes with your buddies, all while incorporating the fun of fishing. Its a pretty short game that can be finished in an hour, but that hour I spent fishing up funny cats made me smile at almost every turn I made. If you have an extra dollar and an hour of time to indulge in a bit of sillyness, I can guarantee that you wont be disappointed. ***FINAL RATING: 7/10***
Fishing at the lake full of cats is one of those games you start thinking, “I’ll play for a minute,” and suddenly 62 minutes of your life are gone. These were the best 62 minutes of playing a fishing game in my entire life. I cast my rod into a lake full of cats and somehow caught a cat named Sausage Zygmunt. At that moment I realized this game does not need logic. It needs cats, fish, and complete nonsense. The game begins peacefully with a lake, a fishing rod, and a strange cat called Good Larry. He looks innocent, but something about him feels suspicious. Unfortunately, I already had a bigger problem: my friend had stolen my cat again. He steals my cat every week, so naturally I started searching for both my cat and my friend, mostly so I could give my friend a tiny forehead bonk for his crimes. At the lake I met Calak, who likes Dawid Podsiadło. Calak was not a main character, but he gave me a clue and randomly told me to “say gex.” He also mentioned that Tom boy knew the way to the Safezone. Tom boy then appeared riding a tire, because apparently bicycles were too normal for this game. He told me to cross the stadium, find my hat, and catch a fish called Mr. Receipt. The problem was that Mr. Receipt was actually a cat pretending to be a fish. This is exactly the kind of nonsense I want from a game called Fishing at the lake full of cats. The cats have fantastic names too: Sausage Zygmunt, Professor Crunchy, Wet Sock, Concrete Zenek, Baton 67, Cat Without ID, Janusz from the Lake, and one simply called No. I even caught a cat named Potato, and the game proudly said “FISH CAUGHT!” Potato then jumped back into the lake like a submarine. Perfect. Soon I met Igor, who was unbelievably tanned. He was not important to the main story, but he had seen my friend talking to Good Larry near the Safezone. The Safezone contained a chair, a refrigerator, three tires, and a note saying “67.” Then the Terminator appeared and told me I needed my hat to enter. So I went to the stadium, where I found my hat and a cigarette next to a note saying, “Larry is not who he claims to be.” I assumed this meant Good Larry, but surely a cat called Good Larry could not be evil. That was my first mistake. When I returned to the lake, my friend was holding my cat. He said he had a contract. I asked who the contract was with, and Good Larry walked out of the bushes. Suddenly everything made sense. Every week my friend stole my cat because Good Larry paid him with fish. Yes, fish. Apparently Larry was running an illegal cat-stealing business. Meanwhile, Natan arrived with a sandwich made by his grandmother, whom he loves very much. Natan was not a main character, but the paper around the sandwich had a map leading to a shed. Inside were two tires, a hat, several cats, a cigarette, a picture of the Terminator, a Safezone sign, the number 67, and the contract between my friend and Good Larry. I finally understood everything. My friend was working for Larry. Larry had planned the cat thefts. I decided to give my friend the promised forehead bonk, but he ran away. I chased him through the stadium, over tires, past the Terminator, and into the Safezone. Good Larry was waiting there. He looked at me and said, “You thought I was good?” The screen went black and revealed the truth: **GOOD LARRY = EVIL LARRY.** Good Larry had never been good. He was Evil Larry all along. He hired my friend to steal my cat, created the Safezone, left the clues, and manipulated everyone while pretending to be harmless. Evil Larry ran away, my friend chased him, I chased my friend, my cat chased me, and all the other cats joined the pursuit. Sausage Zygmunt, Professor Crunchy, Wet Sock, Baton 67, Potato, No, and even Michael Tire all ran after him. Then the Terminator appeared and said, “This is no longer a fishing game.” He was absolutely correct. Gameplay is simple: you fish, catch fish, sometimes catch cats, and occasionally discover that your friend is working for a criminal cat. The atmosphere is amazing. Sitting beside a peaceful lake while a cat named Krzysztof Plate tries to eat its own fishing rod is somehow relaxing. The graphics are great, the cats are ridiculous, and Evil Larry’s reveal is one of the funniest plot twists I have ever seen. My final rating is 10/10. I would give it 11/10, but Evil Larry stole one point. These were the best 62 minutes of my life: 62 minutes of fishing, cats, chaos, searching for my cat, searching for my friend, tires, a stadium, a hat, a cigarette, a Terminator, a Safezone, the number 67, and wondering why Tom boy rides a tire. Most importantly, there is a hidden message for the person reading carefully: **FURRASM.** If you found it, touch some grass and drink some water instead of drinking another Monster. In the end, Fishing at the lake full of cats gave me everything I wanted from a game: fish, cats, betrayal, a missing cat, a suspicious friend, a criminal mastermind named Evil Larry, and the best 62 minutes of fishing I have ever experienced.
Very short game, but one of the best experiences known to man. Pure happiness. In 30 minutes (i took 40 because im dumb af). Wonderful.
