Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.14/day in the week to Aug 1 → 0.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

To be honest, I'm absolutely amazed that a game with this kind of theme is the first title from such a small development studio. Why? Because much larger and more experienced studios have failed miserably when trying to tackle this kind of topic. Except that… they’ve actually pulled it off. The game tackles some incredibly difficult subjects that are rarely gamified well, and it comes out of this challenge unscathed. The skillfully designed, classic mechanics take on an additional role here; they aren’t merely a way to pass the time, but a key aspect in looking after one’s mental health and striving to improve it. They become part of daily rituals which may seem trivial but have a powerful impact on the protagonist’s well-being and survival. The story also lives up to expectations. It isn’t easy, it isn’t beautiful, but it is true. Complicated family relationships, the fear of taking a step forward, self-reproach over decisions made or dreams lost. It’s all here, and it all needs to be worked through. Sometimes directly as the MC, and sometimes by offering advice or a kind word to others. The graphics and sound design complement and reinforce this message, whilst a host of tiny details bring the game world to life. Would I recommend it? Definitely yes. This is a very good game that tackles difficult topics such as grief, fear and anger in a bold and uncompromising way; however, due to its emotional intensity, it is not suitable for everyone. I therefore believe that (to a greater extent than with other title) potential buyers should take their mental health and psychological wellbeing into account when considering purchasing this game. ✅

Modern pixel art-style visuals. Color palette and lighting give the game a cozy, homely feel, but with a distinctively dark undertone.
A rather clever visual design that really does translate into the gameplay. At the start, our apartment is full of boxes containing our late grandmother’s belongings and feels rather sterile. Over time and as you progress, the clutter decreases, more sunlight streams in, and step by step, item by item and box by box, this sterile space becomes a home. Given the game’s central theme, I’d say it’s a metaphor for the process of moving past grief and regaining balance.
A gentle, soothing yet at times sadness-inducing soundtrack. Soundscape has been well executed, and each activity has its own fitting sound setting.
To be honest, the story is the game’s strongest point. Broadly speaking, it tells the story of grief following the loss of a close and beloved person, and of the need to come to terms with that loss, negative thoughts, doubts and fear. Game also brilliantly illustrates how fear and doubt can be the cause of family trauma and of things which, whilst we may not understand them, nevertheless affect us. The most interesting aspect of this game is the least obvious one.
Game isn’t afraid to tackle difficult subjects and to state outright that there are no easy answers to certain questions.
A wide cast of supporting characters who serve to complement the story. Each of them has their own dreams, desires and fears, and sometimes they add to the main character’s problems, whilst at other times they offer support, a kind word or a different perspective. All in all, this has been skillfully woven into the story and enhances its message.
Supportive message on the end of each day.
Simple but enjoyable mini-games that serve as daily tasks.
Price/length ratio are well-balanced.
Achievements are closely linked to the story and, in a sense, serve as a reward for listening to it carefully.
😐 The game frequently uses phrases and terms typical of Indian culture and references local customs and traditions. It’s always good when developers take pride in their culture and highlight it, but for players outside that cultural circle, a glossary of terms would be helpful instead of constantly having to use alt-tab. ❌

Unfinished tasks should be bringing you down by the end of the day. At present, the game is moving away, in a worrying way, from an approach based on care and taking action; which is essential for maintaining our character’s relative stability, towards treating tasks as part of an optimization process.
List of tasks and their level of complexity should increase as our mental health improves.
Bugs and glitches + the game sometimes crashes when switching between windows using the Alt+Tab.
This is a wonderfully made game. With an adoring artstyle, great and diverse characters and a compelling storytelling! I absolutely fell in love with it and in my opinion it's on the same levels as indie games such as undertale for me! I don't wanna spoil anything for anyone but it does get pretty dark here and there so trigger warning I guess. It is also a game about grief for anyone that might think that is too much for them to handle I would say play this game only when you are ready. Still with everything I cried multiple times because of the powerful dialogue and conversations between the characters! It is just that good it moved me to tears so I would recommend it to anyone!
I just finished playing this game and I LOVED it, I wish I could play it for the first time again!! HIGHLY recommend if you like a interactive fiction/visual novel style game!
Fishbowl is such a wonderful little game and I highly recommend it if you enjoy art and drama in narrative games and extremely real heartstrings topics of self care, self doubt, love, grief, and family. The characters are all lovely and pixel art is gorgeous. I am forever changed and will be constantly be thinking about it. On a technical gameplay side the mini games are a bit repetitive, but I enjoyed the story and characters so much it did not matter to me because this game so much heart and love put into it.
A very cute game made by very few people. I didn't expect much and at the beginning it's a little repetitive, but it grew up in me. Maybe a little too much, because this one could be my goty for the year just for the story. The story is delicate and deeply authentic, striking a very realistic chord; the issues that emerge define the characters and it's so so so integral to them. They made me remember to my childood friends because they are very plausible, expecially during that time where the game is placed.
Incredibly emotional and heartfelt. I could relate to the experiences and feelings of the protagonist a lot than I expected too. Grief and isolation are two big themes the game explores, and it does that wonderfully. The characters, art and the whole vibe of the game is so peaceful and heartbreaking at the same time! Must play, specially for Indians :)
cried a dozen of times, i felt understood through this game like it was looking into a parts of me and guided me to process of healing those broken parts.. such a lovely game, really

Such a sweet game, loved it!
Fishbowl, created by imissmyfriends.studio and published alongside Wholesome Games Presents, is a quiet and emotionally driven narrative game that explores grief, loneliness, healing, and personal connection through the lens of ordinary daily life. Instead of relying on action, spectacle, or dramatic twists, the game focuses on subtle emotional storytelling and intimate human moments. What emerges is a deeply personal experience that captures the feeling of trying to move forward after loss while learning how to reconnect with both memories and the people still present in life. The story follows Alo, a young video editor who has recently relocated to a new city while dealing with the emotional aftermath of losing someone important to her. Over the course of several days, players observe and participate in her routines, conversations, and memories as she gradually navigates work, relationships, and unresolved emotions. The game’s premise is simple, but that simplicity becomes one of its greatest strengths because it allows the emotional themes to feel authentic and relatable rather than exaggerated for dramatic effect. One of the most impressive aspects of Fishbowl is how naturally it portrays grief. The game avoids melodrama and instead focuses on the quieter realities of emotional pain. Grief appears through interrupted routines, awkward conversations, unfinished thoughts, and small moments of isolation rather than constant emotional breakdowns. This grounded approach makes the experience feel sincere and human. Alo’s emotions are not presented as something that can be solved quickly, and the game understands that healing is gradual, inconsistent, and deeply personal. Much of the gameplay revolves around ordinary activities such as organizing files, participating in video calls, completing editing tasks, and sorting through memories connected to the past. These mechanics are intentionally simple, but they serve an important purpose by immersing players into Alo’s everyday life. The game is less interested in challenging players mechanically and more focused on building emotional familiarity with its protagonist and her surroundings. Through repetition and routine, the apartment slowly begins to feel like a lived-in personal space rather than just another game environment. The writing throughout the game is consistently strong. Conversations feel natural and believable, capturing the awkwardness and warmth that often exist in real relationships. Friends and family members communicate imperfectly, sometimes struggling to comfort one another or express themselves clearly, which makes interactions feel genuine rather than scripted. The dialogue succeeds because it treats emotional vulnerability with subtlety instead of relying on exaggerated emotional scenes. Fishbowl also uses surreal dreamlike sequences to explore memory and emotion in visually creative ways. These moments blend imagination with reality, creating symbolic scenes that reflect Alo’s internal struggles and emotional state. The transitions between grounded slice-of-life storytelling and abstract visual sequences are handled carefully, allowing the game to explore deeper emotional themes without losing its intimate atmosphere. These dreamlike moments add emotional texture while reinforcing the central themes of memory and healing. Visually, the game presents a warm and expressive art style filled with soft colors and carefully designed environments. The combination of pixel-inspired aesthetics and modern visual effects creates a cozy atmosphere that perfectly matches the emotional tone of the story. Alo’s apartment gradually evolves as players spend more time there, reinforcing the feeling of familiarity and personal connection. The surreal sequences stand out particularly well because they contrast the grounded everyday settings with more symbolic and emotional imagery. The sound design is equally effective in establishing mood. Gentle background music, environmental ambience, and long stretches of quiet all contribute to the reflective atmosphere. The soundtrack rarely demands attention, instead subtly supporting emotional scenes and helping conversations feel more intimate. Small details such as typing sounds, room ambience, and the quiet hum of everyday life strengthen immersion and reinforce the game’s focus on ordinary moments. What truly makes Fishbowl memorable is its sincerity. The game never feels manipulative or overly sentimental despite dealing with emotionally heavy themes. It approaches grief, memory, and personal growth with patience and empathy, allowing players to experience emotions naturally through the flow of daily life. This honesty gives the narrative a lasting impact because the emotions feel earned rather than forced. However, the game’s deliberate pacing may not appeal to everyone. Players expecting constant gameplay variety or dramatic narrative twists may find the slower structure difficult to engage with. Much of the experience involves conversations, introspection, and repetitive routines, which intentionally mirror real life but can occasionally feel uneventful from a traditional gameplay perspective. The interactive elements also remain relatively simple throughout the experience, serving the narrative more than the gameplay itself. Some of the more symbolic dream sequences may also feel overly abstract depending on player interpretation. While visually striking, not every metaphor or surreal moment lands equally well. Still, these scenes rarely weaken the overall experience because the emotional core remains consistently grounded and relatable. Fishbowl ultimately succeeds because it focuses on emotional authenticity instead of spectacle. It tells a heartfelt story about grief, loneliness, healing, and reconnection through small moments that feel deeply human. The combination of intimate writing, thoughtful atmosphere, and emotionally grounded storytelling creates an experience that quietly lingers long after it ends. For players who appreciate narrative-focused games centered on character development and emotional storytelling, Fishbowl delivers a beautifully crafted and emotionally resonant experience. Its strength lies not in action or complexity, but in its ability to capture the fragile process of learning how to live with loss while slowly finding connection again. Rating: 9/10
