Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Sep 13 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I defended the home on the first day
First Day: Home Defender, developed by BadWolf Games and published by HandMade Games, is a small-scale indie title that combines the frantic energy of a wave-based shooter with the strategy of a base defense simulator. Set in a bleak, post-apocalyptic world ravaged by nuclear fallout, the game tasks you with surviving and defending your last safe haven against relentless swarms of mutated creatures. Its concept is simple yet appealing—build, defend, survive—and it attempts to deliver a fast-paced hybrid experience that mixes direct shooting mechanics with tower-defense elements. While the execution is far from flawless, the game’s raw ambition and accessible design give it an identity of its own. The game begins with your character stranded in the aftermath of a global disaster, forced to build and defend a fragile home base amid waves of hostile mutants. You start small, constructing basic walls and defensive structures, gathering limited resources, and gradually upgrading both your home and arsenal. Every round becomes a race against time: fortify before the next wave, repair damage, and prepare for the unpredictable escalation that follows. The player can manually engage in combat using firearms while simultaneously managing base repairs, which creates a constant sense of tension and multitasking. This dynamic is the heart of the game—balancing between direct action and long-term strategy to survive increasingly punishing attacks. One of the game’s strengths lies in its structure. The loop of earning money from defeated enemies, purchasing upgrades, and improving your fortifications gives a sense of steady progress. It’s satisfying to watch your small shack evolve into a reinforced outpost capable of withstanding the apocalypse. The upgrade system, though basic, offers enough variety to keep players invested for a while: new weapons unlock with better stats, assistants can be hired to help fend off monsters, and your base defenses become increasingly elaborate. Each wave feels like a test of both resource management and reflexes, rewarding players who can think quickly under pressure. The result is a tense yet oddly rewarding gameplay rhythm where each victory feels earned, especially when you’ve just barely held the line. Visually, First Day: Home Defender is unpolished but functional. The environments are sparse, with minimal detail and mostly utilitarian textures that convey the game’s grim tone without much flourish. Enemy designs are serviceable, if somewhat repetitive, and the animations lack the fluidity that could have made combat more impactful. However, the simplicity of the visuals ensures that performance remains consistent, even during the more chaotic later waves when dozens of creatures swarm your defenses. The audio design complements the experience in a similarly modest fashion—weapon sounds and enemy growls get the job done, though they lack the layered richness that might elevate the atmosphere. The soundtrack, while minimal, underscores the bleakness of the world with a faint sense of urgency that fits the tone of survival. While the concept and progression systems work well enough to sustain short bursts of play, the game struggles with depth and long-term engagement. Once you’ve upgraded your defenses and unlocked the main weapons, the experience begins to plateau. The enemies, though numerous, don’t introduce enough variation in behavior to keep encounters fresh, and the wave structure can feel repetitive after extended sessions. There are moments when the balance between shooting and base management feels off, with long periods of waiting punctuated by brief but chaotic fights. The AI assistants can be unreliable, occasionally failing to respond during critical moments, and the controls, while serviceable, lack the precision and smoothness seen in more refined shooters. Still, for players who approach the game as a casual survival challenge rather than a deep simulation, these flaws are tolerable. Despite its rough edges, there’s a certain charm in the game’s straightforward approach. It doesn’t try to overcomplicate its systems or disguise its indie roots—it focuses on giving the player an immediate sense of purpose: protect what’s yours. The satisfaction of surviving a difficult wave, patching up your battered walls, and upgrading your weapons for the next fight carries an undeniable appeal. It evokes the same primal thrill found in classic defense games, where simplicity and repetition give way to a meditative rhythm of survival. The game’s low barrier to entry and affordable price point make it approachable for fans of base-defense or indie shooters looking for something compact and self-contained. In the end, First Day: Home Defender is a modest but sincere effort that delivers exactly what its title promises—a fight for survival from the comfort of your last standing home. It’s rough around the edges, lacking in polish and variety, but its foundation is solid enough to provide several hours of tense, satisfying defense gameplay. For players who enjoy mixing strategy with real-time shooting and don’t mind a few technical hiccups, it can be an enjoyable and surprisingly engaging experience. It may not redefine the genre, but it captures the essence of indie ambition: simple ideas executed with heart and enough grit to make you keep coming back for just one more wave. Rating: 6/10

This game is a thrilling and fast-paced shooter that keeps you on the edge of your seat. The shooting mechanics are incredibly smooth, and the controls feel very intuitive. I love the impressive visual style and the immersive sound effects. The variety of enemies and upgrades makes every level feel fresh and exciting. It is a fantastic game for anyone who loves high-quality action and home defense strategy!
cool
Игра понравилась, пока 50 уровней осилил, затягивает.
This is a pretty decent game for the price. It's pretty much your basic tower defense game. Nothing too special about it. The beginning of the game is kind of slow and easy, but it definitely heats up a bit. One down side of this game is that you can't save, but I guess that's kind of part of the game is to see how far you can get.
