This episode is very underdeveloped and not worth the time, even if free. First of all, you must disconnect any game controllers or the game's controls will flip out and not work. I discovered that not only did I have to disconnect my 3d Navigator that I use for work, but that I had to actually uninstall it for this game to work. Fine. This first chapter is incredibly underwhelming. As someone else said, you have to trigger events and good luck figuring out what the next thing is. House layout is awkward and unrealistic, movement is slow, and you may end up wandering around (slowly) just trying to figure out what you're supposed to do next. When there's finally some action, you can do what you're instructed to do and then still get confronted with the bad guy (it's a lame jump scare that isn't scary to anyone who's watched a PG-13 movie). And then your game may start you from the beginning as others mentioned, or it may shut down your whole game entirely as happened to me. If this was a feature and not a bug, what were the devs thinking? I don't know if the other episodes of this game are any better but if they're anything like this episode that would be a big no from me. I try not to write poor reviews of games but here we are. Now I have to go reinstall my navigator lol Edit: well apparently the game is still stuck in "stopping" mode even after restarting Steam. So it appears to be stuck. I wouldn't trust playing this game unless you have some spare time for troubleshooting.

Rating: 9/10 Fears to Fathom – Home Alone is a short but incredibly effective indie horror experience that proves you don't need monsters or endless jump scares to create genuine fear. Inspired by real-life stories, the game places you in the role of a teenager spending the night home alone while unsettling events slowly unfold around you. The game's biggest strength is its atmosphere. Instead of relying on constant action, it builds tension through ordinary tasks and subtle details that make you question whether something is wrong. The VHS-style visuals add a nostalgic, eerie charm, while the sound design keeps you on edge from beginning to end. The pacing is excellent for its relatively short runtime, and the story feels grounded enough to make the events surprisingly believable. Every strange noise or unexpected message creates a sense of vulnerability that's difficult to shake. The only downside is its length. Most players can finish it in under an hour, leaving you wanting more. However, the experience is memorable enough that it doesn't feel like wasted time. Overall, Fears to Fathom – Home Alone is an outstanding example of psychological horror done right. If you enjoy slow-burning suspense, immersive storytelling, and realistic scares, this game is absolutely worth playing.
Played the first episode only. Tooka while to understand what to do when the killer entered the house, but still always love story games, were we play as someone and play their story!

bastante corto el juego, pero me pego unos sustos. Para ser el primero debe estar bien, así que pronto me compraré el segundo
Para pasar un ratín de diversión con amigos retransmitiéndolo... y si no hay nada mejor que hacer.
