About
FEAR OF FAITH is a co-op dieselpunk survival horror game where cloned soldiers raid cursed WWII bunkers to recover SYNTRUM, the essence of those who never returned. Choose from four classes, invoke miracles through FAITH, drink BEER to control your FEAR, and improvise with weapons and physics-based equipment. Explore procedurally generated levels and scavenge everything you need to face a B.O.S.S. that punishes the unprepared.

Combine different classes and spells to interact with the environment and overcome obstacles and monsters in unique ways.
Ignite oil puddles? Electrify water? Polymorph a GHOUL into a RAT? Or just cast silent step and sneak through the bunker in total stealth - it all depends on your skill and will.
Each class has its own passives and spells. Find the perfect synergy, or form a full priest squad to bring TRUE FAITH into the bunker.

Casting spells will consume your FAITH, which causes you to be in FEAR.
Some eldritch horrors can drain your FAITH as well, and if you fail to keep it steady, SHE will come for you. Then you will become a GHOUL... or something worse.
Reduce your FEAR with alcohol or ally spells, keep the generator lights on, and buy some COPIUM during the mission.

Slowly open doors to check for traps, or kick them open during a chase.
Every gameplay item is physical - grab it, throw it, or use it directly from your hands. You can even throw away a grenade triggered by a tripwire.
Your teammates can catch items mid-air, BUT DON'T TOSS THEM AN ACTIVE GRENADE! It tends to separate the team. BY LIMBS.

Fuel the light to keep FEAR away, or embrace the DARK for greater gain.
When the generator is active, it restores your FAITH and slightly tames the monsters - but blocks paths filled with valuable loot.

Dive into an alternate World War II era setting, where dieselpunk technology and eldritch horrors collide.
Do not FEAR Unreal Engine 5. We kept our FAITH and did our best to optimize it. Any lag is pure HERESY or simply the work of Empire enemies.

I am shocked that this game has such a positive rating. The style is cool. The Spells could be awesome. Instead you (The Devs) tried to rip off every other quota sim. Pivot directions while you can. You have everything for a awesome PvE rouge lite but you instead have attempted to make "Friend Slop" IF THIS GAME DOES NOT MAKE SOME BIG CHANGES DONT BUY IT

Too short at the moment, but tons of potential and was fun while it lasted.
"In life, war. In death, peace. In life, shame. In death, atonement."
Decent game, there's some small details to polish, will follow the updates P.S. cat looks just like mine
Игра достаточно интересная, много умений и механик как для раннего доступа
Гра по-класному всрачна. Маст грати з друзями. А ще там можна петити котів!
Rather cool atmosphere and game mechanics. A cat is fine too!
I really like this game. It has a surprising amount of polish for an Early Access title, bugs aside, and in a lot of ways its presentation helps it feel like a proper big budget game - even if you start seeing looping content pretty early on due to only having a handful of weapons, enemies, and about 2 out of 4 levels available. The lighting is seriously awesome, the sanity mechanic doubling as your mana is great, the balance feels spot on so far, and the atmosphere just sucks you in. The game is basically Lethal Company / Kletka (though instead of a sell quota, your quota is to collect a substance called Syntrum that is found explicitly on corpses that have heads attached) but with a larger focus on actually fighting the monsters rather than merely avoiding them, offering you ways to do that with traps, guns, axes, and even spells. Even so, keep in mind this isn't a game ABOUT killing monsters, even though there are actual bossfights. It's more of a game about stockpiling useful items between floors before the final boss room, and smartly using the environment to deal maximum damage to spongy enemies with limited cost. Combat itself is basic but very functional, with every item feeling like it serves a genuine purpose, especially when combining it with Helldivers-like spellcasting using arrow commands. The lighting system is also pretty great, namely in how it handles the flashlight. Rather than having a permanent tiny flashlight or a depletable battery, you have a pretty generous flashlight that covers quite a wide radius and a medium distance. To turn it on, though, you have to actually rev up its generator, which can alert any enemy you're sneaking around. Even if you don't, this is one of the few dark games I played where darkness isn't a total blackout - the smart placement of red alert lights keep it so that even in the total dark, you're never truly blind, and it's actually such a good balance I feel like it deserves praise all on its own. On top of having a very serious and tense atmosphere, I also appreciate the pockets of levity throughout the experience, from some seriously funny item descriptions to the ability to customize your cat. And in the spirit of everything being useful in this game, finding a cat in a level actually increases your sanity, allowing you to cast more powerful spells more frequently. Incidentally, the game also runs very well, able to run pretty smoothly on Steam Deck with minimal performance issues and not even straining the system. For how good the game looks and how it runs on Unreal Engine 5, it's downright impressive. Not to mention it is playable entirely offline. There are problems I have with the game, though. It is buggy, though rarely has it ever been a run-ender. I think it needs ways to crank up the difficulty in a custom mode of sorts, too, such as adding more guns and monsters, etc. The wayfinding is a bit spotty. Melee combat is outright dull, although the shooting and spellslinging is fine. And the ability to pause when playing in Solo mode would go a long way. I do hope that this game continues to grow and reach completion, as it feels a tad sparse now, but you could do a heck of a lot worse for $10.
