悪い点 1.飛ぶ前にセリフも何もない人形劇を見なければならない・・・ 2.操作方法がわからないという意見があるが、パッケージ版を持っているのでキーコマンド一覧は手元にあるが大したモノではない（F-22ADF/TAW`などと比べるとかなり簡略化されている。チャフ、フレアも手動では撒けないようで・・・） 3.さらにフライトコントローラを使っていてもちょっとでもマウスが動くとメニューが表示されてしまいうっとおしい。 良い点 1.安い（￥77） 2.グラフィックの感じが好み 3.CDいれなくても動くこと どうせならEF2000やF-22ADF/TAWの血統を受けついだ正統派のフライトシムにして欲しかった。

Плюсы: Отличный сюжет. Управление самолетом и графика для 2001 года хорошая. Минусы: Игру не возможно пройти до конца, она зависает, пробовал запускал на разных компьютерах результат тот-же.

Отличный симулятор грузовика, очень похоже на Euro Truck Simulator 2. Подъехал, загрузил и выехал на трассу. Сначала долго ехал по асфальту, потом не заметил как взлетел. Весь груз доставлен во время, очень хотелось уйти на второй круг, но закончилось топливо. Приземлился в кустах, обратно очень трясло на вертолете. Не помню как, но очнулся в чужом грузовике. Снова загрузился, выехал на трассу... и он "падла" опять взлетел. Думаю, дело в топливе. И не надо так нервно дергать эту ручку на себя. Лечу уже третий день... везде кусты, мягко. Но с каждым разом труднее договариваться про вертолет. Хотя, так возвращаться назад намного быстрее... Игра замечательно запустилась из папки установки в оконном режиме. Нашел файл: typhoon_2000.reg, поменял: "Windowed"=dword:00000000 И все стало на "фулл скрин": 800х600. Исполняемый файл с настройками игры, запускается исключительно из под СТИМ. Там можно поменять разрешение на 1024х768. В руководствах на англицком есть ссылка на программу, где разрешение меняется на большее. Играется без проблем. Кроме кампании, можно играть в кооперативный режим, через мультиплеер против ботов.

The Steam version of this game is handled horribly. The game doesn't run when launched via Steam. You need to go directly through the program files, dabble with the file properties and after all that hope that it will launch. I've had issues with consistently launching the game at times - one day it runs, one day it just outright refuses. It also doesn't come with a manual. From what I've read the physical version of this game used to come with quite a thick manual, which is seemingly missing in the Steam version, which is quite disappointing, especially seeing how complex this simulator is. (It's also worth mentioning that the game doesn't really outright provide you with a full tutorial) Aside from that, it's a nice and proper flight sim. Put some time in it, though since you have to launch the game outside of Steam I don't think it added up into the Steam game time. The missions are enjoyable, the combat is pretty great. Overall if not for the nuisance that is getting the game to work, I'd definitely recommend buying this, despite its age. For the price it's a really detailed flight sim, however, the fact that you can just buy a game that clearly should be runable and have to go through hoops just to launch it makes it hard to honestly recommend. To summarise, I love this game - when it works.

This is a game and by no means a simulator. If you want that, go look at titles like Falcon 4 or DCS. It just tries to look somewhat authentic to a complete amateur, but it doesn't work realistically in any way. Do I recommend it? Yes. It can be quite fun to play. Reading the quite comprehensive, but mostly superfluous manual isn't really necessary, as long as you have a keyboard chart. It is still fairly old, however, so getting it to run may be a challenge. It does bring something new to the aircraft game genre in that you control several individual pilots at the same time, in real time, while also experiencing a somewhat interesting story through news broadcasts on the remote island of Iceland. But make no mistake: You're not fighting against the enemy AI here. You're fighting against your own pilots' AI. They are horrendously stupid and keeping them alive through all those easy missions that happen in between the boring (and barely accelerable) downtime is the real thrill of the game. They can take off and land intact aircraft on their own, but they are very likely to get themselves killed during missions or eject themselves needlessly and in the most inopportune moments you could possibly imagine. You do need a basic joystick for this. The game is not sophisticated enough to make use of a HOTAS system.
