a 4X that feel lively and "real". Unlike Age of Wonders 4 where it's more sandbox but everything is then meaningless because you can do anything. Endless legend 2 convey lore well for someone like me who usually care on game systems only, so the choices we make feel more grounded in a civilization.
I like what I've seen and I think the game is moving in a good direction.
I said "oh my god, this is cool as ♥♥♥♥" out loud about 5 or 6 times while playing this and that's not something I'm used to doing in a 4X game Like I could go into detail about how the visual and audio design are top-notch, how the factions are incredibly creative, how the combat is actually fun to play, but all you really need to know about this game is that it truly is cool as ♥♥♥♥
is good
Nice.
So i am big fan of turn based strategy games. I have played civ serie, i started with civ 3 and already playing civ 7, AOW 3 and 4 and a lot of endless legend 1. So endless legend 2 is doing well a lot of things, honestly the art you can see from video is just the best, music is always perfect from amplitude, but man the lore, the story, the idea of different races is even better in endless legend 2 then it was in endless legend 1... humans are the simpliest, they do everything well, lizard guys science focused race, the coral guys are old drakona with big growth, swarm guys it depends on which subfaction you play, i like more the new one with ability to force minor races to work for you... sand guys who are lowering recources from enemies with changing everything into desert... but mate our beloved dust dudes, the lords of late game... every race is played differently and all have great impact on the game, the science tree can be boring in comparsion with civ and aow series, but this game is not focused on that type of gameplay, but on growth of the kingdom and using the numbers properly! If you like turn based strategy games, try it! its WORTH!
The early access was a decent enough game but overall kind of rough. However, as of the 1.0 release, many of the issues that were present back then have been fixed. This is now a competent, deep strategy game with 8 meaningfully different factions, rewarding city planning, tactical battle combat and an AI that can actually pose a challenge even on lower difficulties. It has grown into an amazing game, and i'm confident that the devs will continue to add more to this package. More so than any mechanic individually, the thing that really makes me believe in this game is how active the devs are in responding to feedback and actively improving the lacking aspects of the game. They frequently address feedback from the subreddit with direct, respectful replies to the threads by users. This game is already great, and i think it has an even brighter future.
polecam :)
This is going to be as good or better than the first one.
