Excellente suite de l'excellent Endless Legend Le système de mousson apporte une belle nouveauté pour du 4x, rendant l'exploration importante tout le long du jeu (ça devient rapidement obsolète dans de nombreux 4x)
Are you kidding me? A f**king 20/20/15/12 level 20 hero dies.... my armies are at nearly 8k´, the other faction has 3,5k power.... What?!
É tipo Civizilation se ao invés de nerd tu é um Chud Inamável. Jogão!
I did not play Endless Legend 1 but I do very much enjoy Endless Legend 2. I like that you can have like proper builds for heroes, with the items and the skill trees. Is it unbalanced? Yes, a bit - some factions are clearly stronger than others. I really applaud the attitude of the developers, they listen, and they act accordingly - that's how you do early access.
Fun. The world is super colorful and pretty The factions are asymetrical. The evolving world works amazingly with the seasons and I would say the weakness is you can get to a point where you are clearly ahead, and now winning is a long grind towards ticking all the boxes. Some quests also feel this way: I was enjoying the story of the sand people when suddenly the quest length escalates to "win 30 battles" and I realised I would finish the game before finding the end of the story. The AI also generally just mulls around, the aggressive factions especially needing to be more aggressive. But these are pretty nickpicking for a game that just released. In general it is a lot of fun mastering your race and following the narrative to the point where you get ahead (and then you'll likely stop, but that's ok). Combat is quite fun and pleasantly fast! That and the terraforming and shifting map make it enough of an improvement from its predescesor. All and all, a success.
Very fun "pieces on a board" game. The map changes throughout the game which makes early mass expand not always the best approach. Finally the developers have been extremely responsive to feedback through the in game survey and have pushed many updates that seemed tailor made to the little issues I mentioned.
Fun game
Definitely still early access, but this review is easy: if you liked EL, you will like EL2. If you are a 4X enjoyer, this series is one of the best and this game is no different. That being said, unless you are really chomping a the bit to play this I would wait until 1.0 drops so you can jump in with more polish, balance, and features.
