Love this game <3 Definitely the "beautiful in it's own way" typa deal - but if you're into low-res beauty this would be for you.

ENA: Dream BBQ
This feels like less of a game and more of an art project, It contains so many varying art mediums with it's 3D world, 2d characters and animated cutscenes, they shouldn't work together so well but everything in the game is so surreal that it all fits right in.
Gameplay
There's not a huge amount to do gameplay-wise, it has some interesting elements but you're more so just exploring the surreal world that has been built and trying to follow the nonsensical story. It's better to just try and experience this game blind.
Achievements (14/14)
The majority of the achievements are missable and require tasks to be done in a certain order and you can easily skip past some. It's much easier with a guide.
Music/sound
To add to this game's bizarre nature, all characters are voiced in a variety of different languages, but subtitles are on by default. The game also has some really unique music.
Check out my Curator page
I understand this game is meant to be the way it is but it got to a point for me where things were borderliine painful. The most important thing in a game for me is its first impression. Most games with a more lackluster first impression tend to lose everything with me and this was defintely one of those. Most games I enjoy, while with lacking introductions, are games I could see potential in beforehand. Again, not the case here. I understand that this game is meant to hit the mark with the 'fever dream' esque design but there's a fine line between intentional and charming confusing design and plain confusion for me and this game is just really confusing. There's no clear story; it isn't something I can infer or interpret any other way. Nothing really makes sense and random elements were introduced without warning or any apparent rhyme or reason. Gameplay is near non-existent. It's definitely an experience and I reckon the web-series would be interesting but it is not enjoyable to PLAY through. At least in my opinion. I cannot be bothered to continue further as even fans of the game have admitted that the game stays that flavour of chaotic for the whole experience and I cannot be bothered to endure that.
Recommend? Recommend?! I would Not just "recommend" I would also Love if I could put my gameplay through the mind of the new players, It would be.. TANTALIZING IF i ever to convince that this game, is one of the few games that made me feel, HARMONIZING.
I wasn't the world's biggest fan of ENA. i found it interesting, and donwloaded the game when i saw it was free, but it didn't captivate me. Still it was somewhat entertaining and i wouldn't say it's a waste to play it. I don't feel like getting all achievements though currently.
its peak.
I think this is my Confort game now. Can't wait for the next chapters!
