Empirestead is a cozy medieval farming life sim set in the village of Ashford.
You inherit Grey Croft, a neglected farm near the lord's castle, and begin a new life among fields, markets, villagers, festivals, and the changing seasons. Plant crops, care for animals, fish the river, process goods, sell at the market, improve your tools, expand your land, and prepare for winter.
Grey Croft becomes home in small ways — a dog at the gate, a cat by the hearth, mornings that wait for you.
The lord's tax is not a war to win — it is part of the rhythm of the year. In autumn you choose how to pay: settle in full, carry a gentle debt, or give toward Ashford Works. Build your reputation in the village, lend a hand when neighbors ask, and make the croft feel like it belongs to you.
